My Gf introduced me to Bob Schneider. Her brother turned her onto Bob. My Gf's brother died recently, she thinks it's to early to listen to Bob, i think it's the perfect time to listen to Bob.
I'm getting ready to go see Bob tonight in a few hours, for those out there who have never heard of Bob, or seem him live, hop to it! He's soulful, playful, sweet, serious, funky, sexy all rolled up in one. This artist has something incredible unique, his vision and talent SHINE! He seems to have made the choices which allow him to enjoy life and his art on his terms and he knows what a lucky bastard he is and wants to share it with us all. Bob is my homeboy, umm hmm!

Congrats. Yeah I've been a Bob fan a while but recently rediscovered his stuff and no shit these songs are hitting me in my soul right now . Totally in tune w my life right now making me reflect deeply and question a lot of shit. Maybe Bob is ushering in my mid life crisis or something but I like it. Check out Madeline and Round and Round... For starters. Cheers
2 weeks or so later and I still need a daily dose of Austin Bob. "Round and Round" is one of the coolest tracks ever - I love the wacky operatic lick in the chorus. Love "Madeline" too. Gotta say I'm not wild about the tracks with the "vocorder" auto-tune stuff, probably because I identify it with a lot of smarmy pop shit. So far "Lonelyland" is my favorite LP - love the fretless bass playing and the overall sound. It hangs together beautifully. If he ever comes to SF or anywhere within a couple hundred miles I'm there, sitting in the soundperson's lap. I hear he puts on a rousing good show.
