- Welcome to my review video of the Moman TR1 mini tripod. My honest opinion is that this mini tripod is amazing. It not only preforms well as a mini tripod but it also goes well beyond expectations with a variety of features features which make it super versatile.
This mini tripod is made of well crafted parts. When I first used it I was surprised at how well all the parts fit together and how smoothly they moved. When my camera was mounted to the tripod there was absolutely no wiggle or wobble. Being a budget friendly tripod from a brand I don’t know very well I was really pleased by the build quality. The Moman TR1 mini tripod has two height options. The standard height with the legs in their standard position. Then with a twist the legs fold up so that the base of the tripod can get as low as possible. And because of a fantastic rubber pad design that wraps around the feet of the tripod your table tops will never get scratched by any sharp surfaces. The tripod mount has a double thread system and can accept both 3/8 and 1/4 thread mounts. The legs of this tripod are also functional as well. Each leg has two 3/8 screw holes so that you can mount accessories to the tripod. Furthermore each leg has two slits in it that can accept straps used to mound the tripod to obscure objects like chairs, tree branches, fences or poles. This feature makes this mini tripod so versatile especially to those who like to travel with minimal gear. It’s really a mini all in one tripod. I’m very happy with this product so far and and happy to add it to my kit. I’m sure it will come in handy more than a few times while out there filming RUclips videos.

Actually just came here to work out how the straps operate. Once again the solution was just to use more force on the clips! 🤦♂️ Also, your study or whatever you call this room is stunning! So many good decor and plant decisions
Hey thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. Officially I call it my "RUclips set" Glad you like it. Took me a while to get it all setup. Oh BTW those straps work a l lot better if you scuff up the material a little bit. Just rub them on the sidewalk a bit. Takes the slipperiness out of them if that makes sense. Have a good one.
That looks like a solid mini tripod. Pretty comparable to the manfrotto ones!

Like! Only wish you had mentioned the thread size of the holes in the legs for extra mounts--
You're absolutely right I totally missed that. The threads on the legs are a standard 1/4 20. The same standard thread you'll find at the bottom of pretty much every camera. Hope that helps you out.
By the looks, the legs move independently but have only two locked positions?, you will need a ball mount to level the camera... is this correct 🤔
Yup that would be a good choice. Moman makes a mini tripod called a TR1C that comes with a ball head. I mention it in the video. :)
