i have missed this album so much. the only copy i had was destroyed in a fire. it still brings out the good days of my life listening to it. i just wish pink floyd didn't go out of business back in 95. i was only 4 years old and loved there music
@bcmummy SHrill?! I think not! played on a proper HI-Fi system in surround sound this is freakin epic. WOnderfully done, a true masterpiece the LSO is the end all be all of Philharmonic orchestra. IMO
I feel it should be mentioned that Jaz Coleman from Killing Joke did the arrangements for this album as it was his idea to do it in the first place - and Youth from KJ produced it too :) Beautiful music btw.
this is the saddest soundtrack..i discovered this album back in 2000 was in sidney where i got my heart Broken till this day i wake up sometimes with this sound in my head
you're welcome :) On the original, I believe the term for the use of voice is "vocable" singing. and, I agree about the occasional shrillness of the violin- perhaps they could've used a clarinet and toned it down an octave?
@renfieldvonklauss Lol, same thing happened to me the first time I heard it-- "This doesn't sound a thing at all like Pink Floyd! Too bad I bought this crappy C.... Oop, there it is.........."

Same! I had this cd and not until recently found it on RUclips, such an amazing album
For string lovers this is a great piece of music here!
dude, this whole album is amazing. get it if you can.
That shrill violin makes it sound to lugubriously sad. It's hauntingly beautiful.

RIP Syd; we barely knew you.

The splendor of this performance is far superior
Ì seem to be wandering around in a mystical world to spread infinitely
totally awesome!!!
closest anyone or anything has come CLOSE to the the actual vocals by Claire Torry.
Loved the violin. Briliant rendition ^_

Great song and I love dinosaurs immensely.
the violin parts werent originally written voiced for violin...... they are awesome as they were interpreted here, imho

When I listen to this I get a feeling of optimistic dread.
What a version... competes with the original.
I LOVE THIS HAVE MY BABIES
Where did you get the red album cover? Awesome!
TENGO UNA CRISIS...
👁El ojo
@GoresVire couldnt have said it any better
@bcmummy I agree. The violin, while interesting, just doesn't bring the same full-bodied sound.
Where's the vocals! We need vocals! We need Clare Torry!
it sounds a bit like Passacaglia from Battlestar Galactica
Or at least something that puts the wail and scream in it. It's too easy to listen to. It needs that contrast. That gospel wailing in there.
Buono ma preferisco Rachele Fury
What would Pink Floyd have done without Clare Torry's " Top Line ".....rather dull and boring, I reckon !
Boring actually
