The first chapter was alright. I liked Havik a little, but didn't like how they made him a hypocrite circling back to enforcing his will on others instead of being similar to Deception Havik.
I’m so multiversed out. There were absolutely no stakes to any of this since the only people who died were variants of characters no one cares about. And on top of that, the actual story is literally just a season of Invasions with cut scenes.
Noob Saibot is great, the Towers of Time are a nice return and the Animalities are awesome but the story was underwhelming and nobody wanted the fembots.
Honestly, the next step for Mortal Kombat should just be an anniversary title similar to Mortal Kombat Armageddon, in which they bring everyone back (as playable), including the guest fighters with no variations and leave the kameo system as optional.

It's not though. It's because it's a POORLY written multiverse story, that relies way to much on corny dialogue and a very stereotypical motive for the villain. Like why does havik HAVE to want to pit all realms against each other in Kombat? Wouldn't it make more sense to stick with his narrative/character and have him tearing through the realms, destroying and killing all beings of power to essentially "free" everyone. Or if they wanted to bring in the kamidogu so badly, have him try to destroy and or claim the ones in liu kangs timeline, like to merge all realms together, destroying all concepts of logic, physics and order overall. Basically turning it into one massive chaotic unison. And not to mention, don't have him(a titan) being defeated by a dude who JUST got revived with brand new powers. Like what kind of sense does that make. (And It shouldn't bother me as much but when havik made the comment of being annoyed at liu's followers being so adept at causing chaos, I bout slapped myself. Like how tf is THE zealot of chaos gonna be pissed about that.) Those are just two different ways I could've seen them going with the story, that would've done justice to the villain. And I guess what I'm trying to say is, when it's done correctly, a multiverse story can be done really well. Take Deadpool and wolverine for instance, or almost any other comic out there. They've been doing it for years with some bad ones and some great ones. It just takes pure passion from the writers to create a compelling story and unfortunately, I'm just not feeling it through anything here.

In the orignal timeline mk1 was the tournament, mk2 had one rhst was official by the elder gods. 3 ann 4 no 5 had a false one made by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. 6-8 no. 8 wad a rebolt so it showed an alternate version of the tournament as it hada reboot of mk1-3. X WAS a new version of 4. 11 nope anf 12/1 had a tournement in the beginning of story mode
The ending was so anti climactic. Havik could’ve been a lot better as a villain but they should’ve added a twist and revealed onaga as the main villain. I think MK needs to get off of the multiverse train and have a more grounded story like the previous titles. I also expected an end credits scene but was disappointed to find out that there was none. If the leaks are true and they make another expansion story they should bring back Sonya and Jade and introduce new Kharacters and/or Re-introduce 3d era Kharacters. Give us a more grounded story with ONAGA as the main villain and give us Kameo kharacters this time! Forget the guest kharacters too.
They ruined Onaga with the new timeline. He's now just a mindless brute with the mind of an animal like the hulk. He's no longer main villain material in his current iteration when someone like Reiko canonically tames him like a dumb animal.
I quit playing MK1 very shortly after release. It wasnt fun to me. I'm a lore person more than anything and i hate what theyve done to the universe as a whole. I dont mind the character changes and all that, but the story overall was just plain bad. Bad in game and bad in the expansion. Im glad i didnt drop the money on the expansion. I fear for the future of the realms and the entire mk universe after this unless they change their entire writing staff.
The only redeeming quality was the music to the new stages. It was definitely a breath of fresh air hearing some high intensity music in my mk games instead of that boring cinematic crap.
They should have just Made khaos regins free who got the dexule edition for mk1. The story of mk11 Made sense with aftermatch but khaos regins kinda just meh

This is so heartbreaking....I mean the story itself was ok-ish and so it the main game but the gender swap and the romance between Sekor and Bi Han as well as the past romance between Cyrax and Kuai Lian(who really should not have been Scorpion) was dumb

The Chaos Reigns really felt like something you see from MCU. Even as a MCU fan, seeing Multiverse style on MK1 is chaos (I’m saying that in a bad way)

I mean if you make a story expansion and the story falls a bit flat, then yeah, it'll get a critical review. Let's be honest this story expansion was rushed, and the ending wasn't good. The only thing that's saving this is that we got 3 characters right off the bat with intersting movelists instead of having a drip feed system for all 6 characters, but we will have to wait with these guest characters.
One thing I do like about the expansion is they gave us character skins that completely change the character tune alternate outfit I wish we could do this for all the characters that would be awesome for Xbox

I'm gonna say it. The Umgadi (terrible name by the way) is basically Dora Milaje adjacent to me. This is coming from someone who has African roots. They're taking lots of aspects from Marvel and DC to the point where it doesn't feel like it's own identity.
Reviewss probably aren't mentioning the Animalities because they're not part of the package you're paying for. Strangely, the most widely appreciated part of this update was the free part that everybody gets access to.
Not a fan of them swapping the genders of Cyrax and Sektor, we waited a very long time for them to appear in a mortal kombat game (I’m not including Triborg as Triborg was its own character, but with the moves of all cyber Lin Kuei) and instead we got a female version of them. I personally feel like the change wasn’t necessary.
The only thing I liked about the expansion was that my boy Havik was the main villain but everything else was trash, it felt so rushed and unfinished and it was just overall poorly written and I also hate that my boy Rain got killed
My review: MK 1 Khaos Reigns, specifically the paid-for content, is fairly week. The story doesn't "expand" the story outside of introducing Cyrax and Sektor and giving a plot to why Noob is here. Havik doesn't do much and just feels like another season of Invasions..just with a cinematic story. Not to mention that Noob's "Khaos" only controls him for..3 or so cutscenes and then he's back to normal? Not to mention that in total the pre-order bonus costumes cost $20 if you didn't pre-order. Meaning, you have to spend $20 to use story mode skins even if you buy it after just because you didn't give them your overpriced cash to have them. I still give it a 7/10 though.
whoever is controlling the prices of all this paid content needs to be fired. he/she/it is unaware of the state of the economy or doesn't think about how the dlc is more than half the game cost

I guess problem not in a expansion itself. Problem is that this dlc is overpriced. I mean 2 hours of story mode, Animalities and 6 new characters - sounds good, but not for 60$. This is almost price of a new game. Complete game, not DLC. And last nail in a coffin, is that you can't buy characters seperatley. Just inside this bundle. WB knew exactly, that no one will pay 60$ for this and just purchase characters. So they make sure, that you will not be able to. People angry not because dlc was that bad, they angry because this dlc is way too expensive. This should cost something around 15-20$. But not full price of a new, complete game. Come on you can by baldurs gate 3 in less than 50 bucks, and this is huge game where you will spend hundreds of hours.
The update overall had some good changes and content but the story was just terrible, the ending killed the whole thing and it would have benefitted greatly from an extra chapter or two for maybe smoke or another unused character from the main story. Maybe they'll do it in the next dlc and hopefully it's a lot cheaper (probably not if wb controls the prices) than khaos reigns was
How they could have made this story perfect: Titan Havik already invaded every timeline there is and destroyed it, which already was hinted when u see how many geras he killed, Liu Kangs Timeline is the last timeline he needs to invade, so when he failed there is only Liu Kangs Timeline left tada u got rid of the multiverse
The thing the story was lacking was any real damage. Havik literally didnt no damage outside of changing sub. Like y isnt he helping flooding a city or destroying a bridge... dam him even pushing over a expensive vase in our timeline would have had him do something. The multiverse stuff needs to go.

Makes me wonder if NRS will restart the timelime again in the next game. People don't like the lore changes they've made with this game. The expansion being bad definitely didn't help that. If they keep Sektor & Cyrax as women in the next game, I definitely think that will cause a lot of problems. Hopefully, the next game will have no gender swaps.

Sektor & Cyrax gender swap didn't make any sense. Sektor is still evil but now she's just Bi Hans bitch, and that's pretty much it. Their relationship isn't even that well established. It's just thrown in there, and we're supposed to just accept it. They could have kept Cyrax as a man and it would change pretty much nothing. Those two swaps did feel forced and unnecessary.
Im a 45 years old fan of MK since 1992 in arcades. I love this franchise and I HAVE NOT bought this expansion. Speak with your wallets. Too expensive: Here in Spain the expansion cost 50 Euros (55,23 USD) Too woke. There is no excuse to gender swap both Cyrax and Sektor but to push agendas. No Tag system added. And the keep pushing the HORRIBLE kameo system. And about animalities: I´m not falling for that. NRS is making very questionable decisions for me to forgive evrything because some new videos added to the game.

I have hope for MK, I am hoping a one time line will be established after the end of all of this. They may take the best ideas from the multiverse and combine it together into one universe with Liu Kangs Geras being the keeper of time over a new single time line
Simplicity is key. I just think they’re doing way too much. Way too much on the outfits way too much overthinking on a storyline way too much in the mechanics of gameplay. Simplify the game so that it can be fun to moderate users. Not everybody is a professional gamer. We just love to play Mortal Kombat before going to work
Honestly, free animalities, new story mode (dope story mode except for the last chapter), 3 of the most wanted dlc characters and 3 guests to come, new brutalities for every kameo, 2 new brutalities for every character.... what's the problem? They can save it if it's stated that Cyrax & Sketor names are titles and not names like Scorpion & Sub-Zero are titles But at this point, i think the series needs a complete reboot, and they need to go back to what they were doing in Deadly Alliances & Deception, those Storylines made sense
Seriously, though, the writers on MK1 dropped the damn ball on both the main story and the expansion. I know I'm just echoing others when I say that it was the multiverse aspect that fucked it up, but going that direction was such a copout. At this point, just give me a classic arcade style fighter with the old school tournament plotline. "Fate of the World" and all the cliched bullshit I love about the franchise.

The word Chaos meant nothing after a certain point, and it made no sense for all the color coordination with fighters who were "chaos" Everything just felt jumbled together to reach a deadline rather than something they wanted to do.
i personally did not see a point in preordering dlc or even paying that much in general for it. Even if we do get say more dlc packs thats another $40-$50 odd dollars each dlc and im not paying that plus what i already paid for the game. i just dont think what they gave us amounts to the price
This is my full review please read: It was just the story itself the stages and the cinematography and all that including artwork and music. was amazing but the story itself doesn't have any gripping moments or having a story ending and the fact that the story makes no sense. I believe that everyone is doing the right thing by protecting his employees by blocking the person that threatens his employees he is not blocking everybody else as far as I know. The horse concept art is from the stage. If you go to the chaos Market stage right in the middle of the stage in the background towards the top is a horse . You finish Noob story in sectors story ending I hope that with a Kombat Pack 3 the story will be complete and be better. It disappoints me because I know the story had so much potential and it's like they wasted that opportunity. Makes me sad wish that the story had been longer. I also wish that Johnny Cage had been left out it just seems out of place and like he pops up out of nowhere and he doesn't really have something to add to the story I feel like they could have added another character that would have added more to the story. And being that it's chaos around havoc in both Mortal Kombat and Havoc are about chaos and blood they could have gone wild with the storyline and they didn't what they could have just thought of really anything and had fun with it that's what I mean buy lost opportunity and I'm disappointed because there was a lot of potential. Also what's all this about saving people and then not knowing where they end up and we can't kill people and we need to find peace search for complete opposite of what Mortal Kombat is about so it's like you weren't even watching Mortal Kombat because they didn't want to kill anybody and then work you don't even find out what happens after. Whatever happened to Noob, havoc, and the Dragon??? I also think the Jumbotron that's really cool and that the stage background but I do think the eyeball would have been better. I love everything about the towers of time and mini map.

I LOVE the kharacters that we’ve gotten so far. I love Empress Mileena, Empress Tanya, and Emperor Rain but other than that they could’ve done SOOO much more with this expansion especially considering how much we paid for it. NRS, you need to do better.
I didn't mind the story. It's that price point that doesn't make sense. I could see $25. But it's not worth what they're asking. Perhaps there will be another expansion, and it'll right the wrongs. Who knows!
MK1 was going so good from Chapter 1 to 12, then it shit itself with Multiverse concept again. Okay but we coudl've just conclude the Multiverse thing in just Base Game and DLC could've focused more in the main Universe but no...
I didn’t even buy it… Noob is usually an insta-buy for me but, I can’t really deal with MK1 anymore. I was never a Cyrax/Sektor fan… I also could not care less about T-1000 (too late. We needed him in MK11), Conan (???), and Ghostface… Maybe I’ll pick up Khaos Reigns if it goes on sale someday. Just wish I enjoyed the game more.

The story could have been so much better. Some of the lines straight up feel like they were written by ChatGPT. Imagine Titan Havok about to win, severing several limbs from Noob after he acts so brazen and cocky, only for Titan Liu Kang to sacrifice himself and transfer his Titan powers to Noob at the end, temporarily delaying Havok by becoming a living barrier between all timelines. This would ultimately shatter Noob's vision of Liu Kang and his own hubris, causing him to not only become a true and inspiring leader, but to become a rarely seen legend. He would essentially become the visage of The Grim Reaper. Leading responsibly from the shadows and still striking fear into Earthrealms enemies. Just thought of this in like 20 seconds this morning thinking about how this story garbage turned out. Obviously, this is opinion and could also be hot garbage, but I'll leave that up to y'all. I just wanted more for one of my favorite franchises.
I honestly didn’t care about this game’s story at this point. I knew Khaos Reigns plot would go nowhere so I didn’t bother preordering the expansion. The only thing I find interesting aside from the new stages which look great is the guest characters, but they aren’t even out yet, so what’s the point? I’m still excited for them, but it’s hardly worth it when I have to wait longer to buy them. Though I was happy to see Noob Saibot return, that was pretty cool. I also don’t really care about the Cyrax/Sektor gender swap, but at the same time, I don’t even understand why it was necessary on NRS’ part! I was happy that I was able to buy Sub-Zero’s UMK3 skin separately since I love all the klassic MK costumes, but overall. This expansion feels too underwhelming.
I uninstalled the game prior to the expansion pack and all I did was just sit down with some popcorn and a drink and just watched the DLC story on RUclips. I would personally wait for a sale if im looking to go back to play the multiplayer aspect of the game.
I don't think this is the last of titan havik. I believe we will see him again, and if we do i hope they can actually display his ability to be a mastermind in his chaos and manipulation.

At the end of the day i think the price was fair... think about it.. you get 6 characters that individually would cost you 8$ a piece.. and 4 skins that would cost you $5 a piece... add the towers of time amd the improved invasions and even thou the story didnt end properly.. im guessing there will be another story expansion that will bring a resolution to the story... js
I feel like the thing with the guests that makes me despise the line up is that Conan and Ghostface are just gonna be Kotal and Kano with less cool stuff. Honestly I would’ve preferred them.
There may be things or changes that were not so favorable, even so there are characters that are more than improved. In addition to guests who surprise me how they had imagination to adapt them to the game, I love the new, classic skins. The expansion did impact me a lot, it brought me several surprises. It could be said that it was an 8.2 in total for everything. With what they say, I still love this game and I will continue, even if it sounds saccharine.
I think they did well in the surprising areas Mostly Ive seen praise for the new characters despite the gender swaps The story they can always build on and aside from the 2 hours of story mode Players will spend more time with the new characters than the story expansion So I think it's a W in that regard
All the best stuff was free. The towers of time are fun, and the fact they added a weekly way to earn dragon crystals actually has me grinding for them. Story was alright, but very anti-climactic. Would love a tower of time with all the fusion characters from the base game final chapter.
The issue is that Havik was acting just like titan Shang sung when we all expected him to free Onaga and let Lu Kang and the squad try and deal with him and we all wanted him back. Hopfully they are learning and making the last step expansion one that we all want before they move on to IJ3 and while we will be playing that in about 2 years they will look at what we have said and really plan out a better plot for MK2. Also we don’t want to wait to play sections of the game like towers of time and they really need to bring back konquest that seems a lot better then invasions and create a fighter SF has the right idea with what they are doing so netherrealm needs to do something like that to make the fan base feel like they are part of the game.

Be patient, it will be a single time line once it’s all over. The timeline stuff is a way to reboot the universe… comics do it all the time

In the orignal timeline mk1 was the tournament, mk2 had one rhst was official by the elder gods. 3 ann 4 no 5 had a false one made by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. 6-8 no. 8 wad a rebolt so it showed an alternate version of the tournament as it hada reboot of mk1-3. X WAS a new version of 4. 11 nope anf 12/1 had a tournement in the beginning of story mode

The ending was so anti climactic. Havik could’ve been a lot better as a villain but they should’ve added a twist and revealed onaga as the main villain. I think MK needs to get off of the multiverse train and have a more grounded story like the previous titles. I also expected an end credits scene but was disappointed to find out that there was none. If the leaks are true and they make another expansion story they should bring back Sonya and Jade and introduce new Kharacters and/or Re-introduce 3d era Kharacters. Give us a more grounded story with ONAGA as the main villain and give us Kameo kharacters this time! Forget the guest kharacters too.
They ruined Onaga with the new timeline. He's now just a mindless brute with the mind of an animal like the hulk. He's no longer main villain material in his current iteration when someone like Reiko canonically tames him like a dumb animal.

I quit playing MK1 very shortly after release. It wasnt fun to me.
I'm a lore person more than anything and i hate what theyve done to the universe as a whole. I dont mind the character changes and all that, but the story overall was just plain bad. Bad in game and bad in the expansion. Im glad i didnt drop the money on the expansion. I fear for the future of the realms and the entire mk universe after this unless they change their entire writing staff.
The only redeeming quality was the music to the new stages. It was definitely a breath of fresh air hearing some high intensity music in my mk games instead of that boring cinematic crap.
The villain was awful. You cannot have a game like this without a great villain.

I mean if you make a story expansion and the story falls a bit flat, then yeah, it'll get a critical review. Let's be honest this story expansion was rushed, and the ending wasn't good. The only thing that's saving this is that we got 3 characters right off the bat with intersting movelists instead of having a drip feed system for all 6 characters, but we will have to wait with these guest characters.
One thing I do like about the expansion is they gave us character skins that completely change the character tune alternate outfit I wish we could do this for all the characters that would be awesome for Xbox

Not a fan of them swapping the genders of Cyrax and Sektor, we waited a very long time for them to appear in a mortal kombat game (I’m not including Triborg as Triborg was its own character, but with the moves of all cyber Lin Kuei) and instead we got a female version of them. I personally feel like the change wasn’t necessary.
I believe that Sektors Arcade tower ending explains what happens with Noob he goes to the temple of elements and Sektor breaks him out
The only thing I liked about the expansion was that my boy Havik was the main villain but everything else was trash, it felt so rushed and unfinished and it was just overall poorly written and I also hate that my boy Rain got killed

My review: MK 1 Khaos Reigns, specifically the paid-for content, is fairly week. The story doesn't "expand" the story outside of introducing Cyrax and Sektor and giving a plot to why Noob is here. Havik doesn't do much and just feels like another season of Invasions..just with a cinematic story. Not to mention that Noob's "Khaos" only controls him for..3 or so cutscenes and then he's back to normal? Not to mention that in total the pre-order bonus costumes cost $20 if you didn't pre-order. Meaning, you have to spend $20 to use story mode skins even if you buy it after just because you didn't give them your overpriced cash to have them. I still give it a 7/10 though.
This DLC definitely needed either a price cut or more content to justify the $70 price tag (I'm Canadian).

I guess problem not in a expansion itself. Problem is that this dlc is overpriced. I mean 2 hours of story mode, Animalities and 6 new characters - sounds good, but not for 60$. This is almost price of a new game. Complete game, not DLC. And last nail in a coffin, is that you can't buy characters seperatley. Just inside this bundle. WB knew exactly, that no one will pay 60$ for this and just purchase characters. So they make sure, that you will not be able to. People angry not because dlc was that bad, they angry because this dlc is way too expensive. This should cost something around 15-20$. But not full price of a new, complete game. Come on you can by baldurs gate 3 in less than 50 bucks, and this is huge game where you will spend hundreds of hours.

The update overall had some good changes and content but the story was just terrible, the ending killed the whole thing and it would have benefitted greatly from an extra chapter or two for maybe smoke or another unused character from the main story. How they could have made this story perfect: Titan Havik already invaded every timeline there is and destroyed it, which already was hinted when u see how many geras he killed, Liu Kangs Timeline is the last timeline he needs to invade, so when he failed there is only Liu Kangs Timeline left tada u got rid of the multiverse

Sektor & Cyrax gender swap didn't make any sense. Sektor is still evil but now she's just Bi Hans bitch, and that's pretty much it. Their relationship isn't even that well established. It's just thrown in there, and we're supposed to just accept it. They could have kept Cyrax as a man and it would change pretty much nothing. Those two swaps did feel forced and unnecessary.

I have hope for MK, I am hoping a one time line will be established after the end of all of this. They may take the best ideas from the multiverse and combine it together into one universe with Liu Kangs Geras being the keeper of time over a new single time line
Simplicity is key. I just think they’re doing way too much. Way too much on the outfits way too much overthinking on a storyline way too much in the mechanics of gameplay. Simplify the game so that it can be fun to moderate users. Not everybody is a professional gamer. We just love to play Mortal Kombat before going to work

Seriously, though, the writers on MK1 dropped the damn ball on both the main story and the expansion. I know I'm just echoing others when I say that it was the multiverse aspect that fucked it up, but going that direction was such a copout. At this point, just give me a classic arcade style fighter with the old school tournament plotline. "Fate of the World" and all the cliched bullshit I love about the franchise.
It felt like a chapter 1 of a story, and a bland one at that. The post credit scene showed mash-up characters with Havik, then the DLC had just lam reskins. The word Chaos meant nothing after a certain point, and it made no sense for all the color coordination with fighters who were "chaos" Everything just felt jumbled together to reach a deadline rather than something they wanted to do.
So glad I didn't pay £40 in the UK hopefully they drop it in the bargain bin like they did with the original kombat pack characters.
i personally did not see a point in preordering dlc or even paying that much in general for it. Even if we do get say more dlc packs thats another $40-$50 odd dollars each dlc and im not paying that plus what i already paid for the game. i just dont think what they gave us amounts to the price

This is my full review please read: It was just the story itself the stages and the cinematography and all that including artwork and music. was amazing but the story itself doesn't have any gripping moments or having a story ending and the fact that the story makes no sense. I believe that everyone is doing the right thing by protecting his employees by blocking the person that threatens his employees he is not blocking everybody else as far as I know. The horse concept art is from the stage. If you go to the chaos Market stage right in the middle of the stage in the background towards the top is a horse . You finish Noob story in sectors story ending I hope that with a Kombat Pack 3 the story will be complete and be better. It disappoints me because I know the story had so much potential and it's like they wasted that opportunity. Makes me sad wish that the story had been longer. I also wish that Johnny Cage had been left out it just seems out of place and like he pops up out of nowhere and he doesn't really have something to add to the story I feel like they could have added another character that would have added more to the story. And being that it's chaos around havoc in both Mortal Kombat and Havoc are about chaos and blood they could have gone wild with the storyline and they didn't what they could have just thought of really anything and had fun with it that's what I mean buy lost opportunity and I'm disappointed because there was a lot of potential. Also what's all this about saving people and then not knowing where they end up and we can't kill people and we need to find peace search for complete opposite of what Mortal Kombat is about so it's like you weren't even watching Mortal Kombat because they didn't want to kill anybody and then work you don't even find out what happens after. Whatever happened to Noob, havoc, and the Dragon??? I also think the Jumbotron that's really cool and that the stage background but I do think the eyeball would have been better. I love everything about the towers of time and mini map.

The people that hate it should just go find another game to complain about because almost every game out right now is like that. This generation is just ridiculous.
The craziest thing is we seen noob do 2 fatalities that’s better than both his gameplay fatalities , the expansion was 2 short didn’t think to include anyone from haviks order realm like dairu , Darrius , or Hotaro which could have gave more depth and still could have kept subs and Lin Kuei part out world played no part in the dlc didn’t hint at jade or any other out world kombatants

I LOVE the kharacters that we’ve gotten so far. I love Empress Mileena, Empress Tanya, and Emperor Rain but other than that they could’ve done SOOO much more with this expansion especially considering how much we paid for it.

The story could have been so much better. Some of the lines straight up feel like they were written by ChatGPT. Imagine Titan Havok about to win, severing several limbs from Noob after he acts so brazen and cocky, only for Titan Liu Kang to sacrifice himself and transfer his Titan powers to Noob at the end, temporarily delaying Havok by becoming a living barrier between all timelines. This would ultimately shatter Noob's vision of Liu Kang and his own hubris, causing him to not only become a true and inspiring leader, but to become a rarely seen legend. He would essentially become the visage of The Grim Reaper. Leading responsibly from the shadows and still striking fear into Earthrealms enemies.
Just thought of this in like 20 seconds this morning thinking about how this story garbage turned out. Obviously, this is opinion and could also be hot garbage, but I'll leave that up to y'all. I just wanted more for one of my favorite franchises.

I honestly didn’t care about this game’s story at this point. I knew Khaos Reigns plot would go nowhere so I didn’t bother preordering the expansion. The only thing I find interesting aside from the new stages which look great is the guest characters, but they aren’t even out yet, so what’s the point? I’m still excited for them, but it’s hardly worth it when I have to wait longer to buy them. Though I was happy to see Noob Saibot return, that was pretty cool. I also don’t really care about the Cyrax/Sektor gender swap, but at the same time, I don’t even understand why it was necessary on NRS’ part! I was happy that I was able to buy Sub-Zero’s UMK3 skin separately since I love all the klassic MK costumes, but overall. This expansion feels too underwhelming.

I uninstalled the game prior to the expansion pack and all I did was just sit down with some popcorn and a drink and just watched the DLC story on RUclips. I would personally wait for a sale if im looking to go back to play the multiplayer aspect of the game.

I feel like the thing with the guests that makes me despise the line up is that Conan and Ghostface are just gonna be Kotal and Kano with less cool stuff. Honestly I would’ve preferred them.
There may be things or changes that were not so favorable, even so there are characters that are more than improved. In addition to guests who surprise me how they had imagination to adapt them to the game, I love the new, classic skins.
The expansion did impact me a lot, it brought me several surprises. It could be said that it was an 8.2 in total for everything. With what they say, I still love this game and I will continue, even if it sounds saccharine.

The issue is that Havik was acting just like titan Shang sung when we all expected him to free Onaga and let Lu Kang and the squad try and deal with him and we all wanted him back. Hopfully they are learning and making the last step expansion one that we all want before they move on to IJ3 and while we will be playing that in about 2 years they will look at what we have said and really plan out a better plot for MK2. Also we don’t want to wait to play sections of the game like towers of time and they really need to bring back konquest that seems a lot better then invasions and create a fighter SF has the right idea with what they are doing so netherrealm needs to do something like that to make the fan base feel like they are part of the game.
