Drawing a Huge Mandala (400x Speed Edit)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 авг 2024
- This big poster-sized mandala took around 30 hours, and I used pigma micron pens. It's easy to get into a bit of a meditative state with this type of art, getting lost in the patterns and various repetitive lines and shapes.
The idea is that you can take any shape, and if you repeat it enough times, it can turn into a pretty pattern. It's fun to try creating your own new patterns this way. I don't say that I create a bunch of revolutionary patterns in this drawing, but sometimes it's also interesting to see the different way you can layer them together.

First time I've heard someone taking about audible and not being sponsored by them
would ve liked your comment but its at 420 and i dont wanna destroy it XD
@@user-ns3nj1jr8h You'll know when you grow up
b 420 is a lucky number for a lady named Mary Jane. She’s very nice which is why everyone else respects her lucky number:)
b lol
@@user-ns3nj1jr8h it's a number
I totally though he was gonna go into an audible sponsorship...
Adelina Severs i know same😂
Adelina Severs Instead, he just gently roasted them. Seared? Lightly shook Audible on the frying pan twice.
Sleepyoongs Hello fellow ARMY.... 😂
Joslynn Yang ARMYS!
Epic Chibi toasted
Damn finally someone talks shit about audible
anthony zepeda ikr
it's because they didn't sponser him XD
+cjsky10 lol
anthony zepeda but as an artist he should be caring more about the autors of the audiobooks. i mean you dont need to use audible (even tho i think its a good concept), but if he likes an audiobook he should pay for it.
He should narrate audiobooks! His voice is so relaxing for some reason.
Remus Lupin to me he really sounds like Harrison Wells from the flash
Omg he does sound like him! I love that show. A shame, what happened to Harrison (the real one, pre-car-crash one). He seemed like such a great guy with real dreams and he treated his girl right. And Barry has a sexy voice, remember that episode where he sang "Summer Nights" on karaoke?
Remus Lupin ikr
He has a video where he reads Call of Cthulu and it's great.
Proffessor Lupin? I didn't know you were interested in drawing Mandela plants
This is insanely detailed and somewhat nightmarish. In a good way.
Micah Buzan I KNOW RIGHT!! Very true
And in a bad way the same time
Lol. It's insane indeed
yes! very cosmic horror!
Lovecraftian monstrosity
I did the math; this took approx. 31 hours and 20 minutes to draw
Thanks, pretty sure he said it in the video though.
I wouldnt like this originally but since you did math i like
Nah fam he stopped 4 secs before the video ended
Ty
uh he said 27 hours?
RUclips is like
It's quarantine let's recommend this 6 years later
Yours is the only comment he liked lol
Teacher: just color inside the lines it isn't that hard
The colouring book:
Yes Hahahahahahhahahaahhahahahahahaha
made me chuckle😂
Ugh tell me about it
It's weird to think that a RUclipsr nowadays complains about Audible. (Yes, i know it's an older video.)
+duisjfuds dinges I still don't like Audible
***** So rare... yet so true.
Almost every RUclipsr with 1.5M+ subs seems to be sponsored now. 😕
i sub and nice art work you should make a new one that combines the best mandala's that's what I do
can anyone suggest me the software to make video that fast?
I thought i was good at drawing until this guy's video ruined my self confidence
Same 😂😂
Han Lam I always think everyone is better then me but I keep drawing.
I'm ocd so it's hard for me to draw this kind of stuff :(

@@Name-yv2zq it still says 6 years😂
@@valerydeleeuw1796 7 for me. weird
you have the patience of a saint
I'm sure just the experience of making one would grant anyone the patience of approximately 0.8 saints per square meter. Let's all make some.
As awesome as this drawing is, I was more intrigued by your talking. I could listen to you talk about anything for 27 hours...seriously. So calm.
yeah, i feel exactly the same way! damn :D
Do a search for ASMR on youtube.
Nick P
He has a great asmr voice.
If the video is right the math is 4.75 times 400 divided by 60 it took around 31 hours, really cool stuff!
I rounded up a little, it's probably really like 375x and the last 10 or 15 seconds of the video is just a picture, so you have to take that into account.
About 28 Hours in that case, but still super cool! 4.5x375/60=28.125
Vampirequeenym
No more than all the other frivolous details that we find fun and interesting. No more than the answer to your question even, but that is starting to get existential and more frivolous and meta.
chickenmonger123
270 seconds x 400 = ~108000 seconds = ~1800 minutes = *~30 hours*
That's some serious patience.. I hope he framed it.
PairInstabilityType I think your numbers are a little off.
This drawing looks like a place, a place you go after your passing
Man i'm 25 years old and I can't even draw the sun in the corner perfectly lool, that's extremely perfect work
No kidding, I draw sick cats..... my 9 year old son can draw better than me.
I just kinda wanna stare at it for the rest of my life
I'm enjoying your artwork, your calm voice and your art philosophy and ramblings. I've subscribed! Thank you!
can anyone suggest me the software to make video that fast?
I use iMovie.
+ASMR Sounds by Sophie / Xcentricity Body Painting or you can use the timelapse feature on the iPad like I do!
Cool. My ipad is so old it crashed every time I use it. :(
+ASMR Sounds by Sophie / Xcentricity Body Painting oh. That's annoying :( i got my iPad last year so it's pretty new.
i can barely draw a circle
that's why he used a tool for those lol
circles are difficult no matter what
If you can “barely” draw a good circle without a tool thats pretty good
I can't even draw barely
I’m stick figure level. I draw like a 4 year old. 😕
Opens a 400x speed video --> plays it at 2x speed anyway
_"Faster! Still not fast enough!"_

*SPEED*
SPEED IS KEY
Super funny at x2 hahahaha
0.25x to 100x
I'm a slow man
wow that needs patience =) great work
M Schwarzl ich hab's nur kommentiert, nicht gezeichnet ;-)
M Schwarzl er sagt "almost 30 hours" knapp 30 Stunden =P
M Schwarzl ne Murmeltier schmeckt anscheinend scheusslich haha
People always wonder how I can have so much patience with my drawings and stuff, but for me/other artists it is realaxing, like Peter says in his videos sometimes. :) Just like you can take your time on your hobby! (except if it is something you have to do fast ^_^)
How do you make such a large drawing without smudging everything all to hell with your forearm?
This is something I've never been able to figure out and would really like to know.
It's because they're right handed, unlike me (lefty problems amirite or amirite)
Actually, I'm right handed.
I just have trouble with really large drawings like this because, unless I make sure to go from the top to the bottom of the page, my big fat arm ends up smudging anything previously finished that's near it.
BLARGAG111 he's likely using a pen or something which is dry ink so it probably doesn't smudge. That or (as he mentions in the video) he's careful and takes his time
He is using a Sakura micron it's a fine tip marker that doesn't smudge
you can use a paper towel under the arm, or use counter leverage to keep the arm off the paper. Helps a lot for the medium to be stable and dry fast
This artwork to me represents the behind the scenes of the reality we know! Each wheels a code that interlinks another weaving in and out where and when it needs too. When I look into this! I feel like I'm looking deep into my own self. and finally, I have found an artist who seems to be the only person to finally speak the language that I understand.
This is possibly the most comforting and soothing video I have ever watched on YT.
I want this on a shirt!
I thought tattoo...... Be class
westleg91 I'd be terrified of the tattoo artist getting frustrated by the complexity and giving up.

This guy was talking about Audiobooks and Albums while I'm seeing the drawing of what a GOD would make. Jesus amazing
this is absolutely stunning. The amount of love and effort put into it is award winning.
I love listening to podcasts, such as "stuff they don't want you to know" and a few other users like that. it's fun to just learn about interesting topics for an hour while you zone out drawing. :)
To quote Bob Ross: There are no mistakes. Just happy accidents.
Well done!
You are amazing. The detail in your work; I am a detail freak. Beautiful. And I agree with the others; I could listen to you for hours.
Beautiful piece! The level of detail and focus required to complete this is just, just, just fun!
Fantastic depth! 🔥🔥🔥
0:03 When you have finished drawing but think you can improve a little more.
It's a beautiful peace of art 😯 I look forward to seeing more
I could listen to this guys for hours.
Mad respect for you because how much work was put into this. I could hardly draw a tenth of it.
I am frightened with ur talent
It's beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful.
30h...but it's really worth it, it's crazy complex and crazy mind twisting...
Love it.
That one-album trick is GENIUS!! I will use this for when I'm sewing and doing schoolwork, thanks a ton!
Your voice is so calming I love it like instead of audiobooks I would listen to your voice hours on end
awesome drawing and your voice sounds like the voices in those cd's that helps you calm down
him: aah finally done!!
Also him: **realises tht the camera hasnt been turned on**
i would have sneezed on the camera to assert dominance
Your whole thing here is top notch. Thanks for your channel!
Doing something when in your best mood is always good..brings out the best quality of your work no matter what it is.
A jaw dropping piece of art.... Man you are an exceptional artist I must say... :)
You should narrate books :D you have amazing voice!
So calming
You are truly talented, Peter.
Brutal to watch. ive been drawing in the same mandala of my own, of sorts for almost 8 years. your so chill i find happiness in drawing , but also indescribable intensity. it s about the size of a 2 car driveway
your voice really relaxed me and watching this was awesome
Your artwork is incredibly detailed. How do you not go insane?
This just looks so beautiful
My man, you deserve something greater
That's brilliant stuff.
First I was like: Wow this is huge!
Then I was like: WOW This Is Huge!!!
And after that I was like: DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING STAHP!!!1
Awesome work!
WOW *THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID*
Thats just amazing. Brilliant
I've just found your channel. Your voice is like butter. It melts me. It's gorgeous and I could listen to you for hours. I love your art btw and I appreciate your saying "if you mess up, it doesn't matter!" Fantastic video. Thank You, kind Sir. Sending you some love from England.xx
You deserve more views
These are so freaking calming... they also really inspire me. Love your vids.
I think you do not know how really good you are. It is amazing for me to see how you develop the design and how surprising is the result of each level. You are great, man.
Fantastic is why I am here.
I have a theory where if you're listening to a certain musician you draw how you feel the music sounds. Or does that not make sense?
makes sense to me
Brenson Brosh im a weird person
I see what you mean, I agree
It makes a considerable amount of sense. I've listened to Techno music and tend to feel like I have a lot of energy. Maybe I should draw when I listen to it...
Also, when it comes to being weird, I have some experience with this... I eat various foods in ways that people just don't expect. XD
Wdym 😂
How do you draw without hunching over the paper? I mean many of your details are really small, how can you see them and be precise from such a distance?
Glasses?
Feldenkrais with Alfons practice
He seems like he knows what he wants.
…an easel
null, How is he setting his supplies on the paper if he’s using an easel? Lol
out of this world
great dedication
I read all 7 dark tower books, I make candles and I to listen to audio books while working. Love your work Peter!
🤔 *I wonder if he listened to a different audio book or album than the one he did while drawing, would the pic look different than it does?*
THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!! : )
This is the most satisfying thing I've seen all day.
STUNNING.
🌍 Maaya means illusion,Magic😍
*"9th Mandala"* 🌈🌈
OK... look at this, a part of the drawing dissappears, but non of the drawing is touched elsewhere, it happens at 1:37-1:41, in the middle of the screen
Omg I saw that it's so weird was is whited out or something or editing is wrong
It's weird right?
It's was just a editing error, he probably stopped for a break and started again later. When he was editing the footage together he probably layered it on top of the previous footage.
ahhhh, i see
If you keep watching for another 2 or 3 seconds he draws the same thing again so he must have layered the second video a tad bit earlier than he was supposed to!
What a good work! Soo beautiful!
audio books are AWESOME I LOOOVE THEM while drawing and painting and doing other art
Are you human?!
ikr
+Grace M it took him 30 hours. Despite the fact I he has talent, he also needed patience for this, a lot of it.
+Francisco Ferraz doesnt matter, none of us could have done this in 30 hours. Or even 100. He does it with perfection
***** If you tried to do it for thousands of hours then you would eventually be able to. People underestimate the potential that can be unlocked through practice. It isn't just about talent.
Francisco Ferraz its all about talent man
That was sick , I'm literally going give this a crack ... See what happens
Brenson Brosh ill let you know :)
Brenson Brosh Not at all, i didn't see it as that,i know its hard to do, i looked at so many techniques on them but thought id start withs a compass needle lol
Brenson Brosh ah how nice
Brenson Brosh How often do you see people saying sorry on the internet?
Did you literally give it a crack?
Wow. Love your lovely calm and relaxing voice by the way.
Stunning !!
Who like me first time see drawing of this thing?
Recent gang?
They are no mistakes, just happy little accidents ;-)
Wow! Beautiful!
Just incredible!! 🤯😍
really late, what do you use when drawing/doodling (excluding pencil)I already use the pencil too much and i sometimes dislike the smudges however ive seen these amazing artworks done in pen so I just grabbed a normal ol' office pen an messed around and I liked the style of the lines so im looking for the pens you use the big lines that you use to fill in space the medium to make a line pop and slim to draw fine lines and a tiny for tiny details and minimized shading
use micron pens
You've gotcha use Micron pens
And punctuation marks.
+Zero Excess BURRRRRN
the type is very cool but how mutch ink was used
A lot
much
A lot of
Large quantities

probably 7 or so
Some of the most amazing drawings i ever have seen. GOOD WORK
The dedication is real
Excellent artwork. Do you have aspergers? I do.
+curro ro Maturity.
curro ro 🍑🍔s
What does that have to do with this video
Click Bait that can explain his call voice, that's just a thought
He doesn't
how do you keep it so simetrical?
World of Guru its not 100% symmetrical
Jawsh its not even a bit symmetrical
it's an illusion.. they say that sometimes, when it's well done, even the maker falls for them.
remember, symmetry is relative.
Try doing it with your hand ,probably you will fail at the circle first step
Very well done, a massive masterpiece
i actually listen to you when i draw. your voice is like butter.
Then Gf comes in with grape juice and trippes
The end
Wow that close to autocorrecting to comes in and stripes😅
@Jade Seales Phelps no it auto corrected with an en at the end for stripes like zebra though strips would've been more fun, having a pervy auto correct and all
Great asmr voice, cool pic

If u would mess it up...
Grammar Nazi Rank 999 i would cry on the spot
He did mess it up. He even admits to it. He also incorporated his mess-up into the piece so that it looks like it was supposed to be there all along. Like he said, you can't see where he messed up because it's everywhere in the drawing.
Are all the patterns you are drawing.in your piece.your copyrights? if not.how do you sell it?.Do you have to get permission from the designer of a particular pattern you are drawing in that,?
I have.... never thought about that. Personally, I don't think you can copyright a pattern... at least not in a drawing like this. I dunno. Maybe it's more about how all the patterns come together to create a finished piece. For this, I didn't get any of these patterns from anywhere else, I just created them as I went.
***** Well ive gotten some information from the Zentangle community..and there is over 1000 patterns(designs that are copyrighted..and they ask you not to sell anything with those copyrighted designs without permission of that person who made up that.particular design. So right now at this moment almost anything.that resembles a design that is copyrighted..i guess there would be trouble..from what i hear.I guess i should find out more about it. I make jewerly and draw simlar designs that are like the copyrights..not sure if i could sell them or not.
A tiny difference is enough to turn it into a new design... That's how chinese ppl do it... They copy a copyrighted picture and just change one thing like add a bird or a tree... And that's it. So they can sell it and the original painter has no chance to do anything against it... Sad but true.
Vampirequeenym Ahh..ok ty
SternenstaubBuchblog put a bird on it
Dude mad respect for the amount of detail ! you are supper talented.
This is a great drawing dude. Nice job it really looks awesome. Also thank you for the small tips in the video.
