The new update to the conditional Dashboard cards is huge !!!! FINALLY ! This will save me so much time since I don't have to create template entities just to translate Numerical values to boolean values. This made my day, thx for sharing ! :)

My wife and I also use Todoist to track our various lists.
The only thing keeping us from switching would be that in Todoist, you can have sub-lists under lists.
As an example, in our grocery list we have items for vegetables, fruit, meats, dairy, frozen, etc...
Then under each of those items, we have a list of items.
I would love to see this new "To-do lists" component get that feature.

@@CalmingWinds true, but for us it's just not as good of a solution.
Having separate categories is much easier to see the separation.

The script fields are super nice. I currently have a scene that picks a random color for each light. A bit like hue dynamic scene (but static) which uses mqtt and automations but this is going to be a nice replacement :)

i can now adapt my interface depending on the screen i'm using, i'm soooo happy about it !!
having my interface being horizontal on pc and automatically switch to vertical on my phone, a dream finally come true.

My wife and I use Bring for our shopping list (it's nice and visual), and it used to have good Google Assistant support (before Google deprecated Actions). We still use it because of its UI and it has a watch app, but could be convinced to move if there were enough benefits.
I'd love it if Google Shopping List would integrate into HA now, but I guess it's a lost cause.

    A Todoist user! Nice.
I like that todois is getting better integration into home assistant but it’s not quite there yet.
Have you tried using Todoist’s api in home assistant like in this video?

Really like the conditional card stuff. I was looking at a way to display cards/ entities based on who is looking at the dashboard.
I feel like home assistant is really limited in ontroling what non admin users can see and do.
The fields for scripts are also something to look out for.

Hello sir, I have doubt....I have esp 32 and relay module, one touch module and on off switch . I have to combine with this to make esphome... switch will control on and off through home assistant it will perfectly work.....but when home assistant device will off and esphome will be work manual switch on ,off to turn on relay without contacting home assistant it works fine....but I have a issue with that " when the switch state is on in esp 32 when the power cut off happens and then power on device...in this case already switch will be on state....but relay output cannot auto on on after restart esp 32 device "
Sir, you have give some solution for that or make a video to solve my issue......

Hi, I have a strange question to ask you, I hope I can explain myself: I have an alarm system at home but it is not smart inside but there is a telephone dialer with a SIM for alarm messages or anomalies as well as for querying the system remotely on the status and interact by turning it on/off and decide which zones to activate. Will it be possible to integrate all this on HA? Thank you
ps: forgive the grammar but I don't know English well and I used an online translator

    Hi Lewis,
Have there been any issues reported with the Calendar after updating to 2023.11? I had updated, but the Calendar disappeared from the list on the left. I restored a backup and it came back.
I wonder if it was due to the Core not being updated at the time, but it is now updated.
I don't want to update again until I'm sure.

Thank you very much for your high-quality videos. I have a question; my mother has fallen several times in the house, and I'm thinking of installing Home Assistant with a video camera. However, do you know if there is a plugin available to monitor her vital signs (such as heart rate and blood pressure) and, MOST importantly, a fall detector so that I can quickly intervene? Thank you.

I feel this would require some extensive setup scripts and at least a coral tpu with probably more than a few hours of AI recognition training. It may be more practical to do a life alert for now. And if it seems worth it still, I'm pretty sure it could be done. But an elderly care integration would be an amazing addition to HA IMO.

They need lists for TTS responses. Only having a single response in automations is some 1980s level crap. The most depressing part about having to upgrade to any of these new systems =( Maybe there is a way to do it, but it should be built in and more obvious. Can these lists help with that?

yeah it disappears from the UI but it still leaks in various config files - you can't recreate the same user. Long lived token aren't revoked properly, etc. I've seen open github issues on this subject that are years old. The list goes on, it's sad

Maybe it was due to the fact that I created LLTs with that user; there's a post about it from 2022 on the community forums (not sure about a github issue about it, maybe I should create one). I didn't spend time investigating it because I was busy trying to work around other zigbee issues.

Voice stuff is pretty complex so after the additions we just got I think it just needs some more time

    • @tin2001
      @tin2001 11 месяцев назад

I'm happy enough with the current HA voice stuff... What I'd love to see is someone working out a way to repurpose old Google Home units with open source firmware that can then integrate into the HA stuff without Google being involved.
Yeah, that's technically unrelated to HA, but I think with HA's voice support now existing, it does give us a much bigger reason to hack these Google devices into fully local units.
