you dont need much impact to lift no spin ball but for a heavy chopped backspin ball good/thick impact is a must to ensure the ball can be lifted or else it will be slipped from rubber. Try with your LP partner.

It’s amazing how he can tell how much spin is on the ball. I wish he gave some pointers on that instead of calling “net” and “out”.
but i still dont know how he knows wich ball is spinny or not spinny (low and high). the sound is the same.
