So she's had bad days even then, the only difference is with natural vocal deciline the bad days get worse when older Mariah was never meant to be a touring artist but artists have to tour because that's where most of their income comes from. She has still managed to be somewhat consistent in recent years, especially with Caution Tour and Butterfly Returns!
1:14 "is my right ear in use YEEEEEAAAAH" Is one of my fav moments... Simple but so effective! Her musicianship SHINES so BRIGHT when she just sings how she see's fit.

It is shocking how much her agility, flexibility and ease of voice has decreased over these past three years. This was at a time when she was getting good sleep, coming off the pregnancy and all, and probably hadn't gotten back into drinking as much. Her quality still from 3:58-5-4:04 and 4:43-4:48 is still stunning, though. Also she looked like a million bucks, too.

being a singe rmy self i can say for a fact that lots of times we hold back when singing on "PURPOSE" s and sing inlower keys to preserve the voice when singing live. the "eh" dosent mean she can not hit or sustainit just means she dosent want to sing the note's so that her voice can last all through the night. belting constantly tires the voice and when the voice istired the tone and texture are lowerd and changed from how ur voice woudl sound normally.
