Difference between Mariah’s music and today’s music is that hers is timeless. Always Be My Baby was released in 1995 but it still sounds fresh and is still being bumped on the radio. Majority of music released today will be forgotten in a few years

It was probably shot on 35mm film, which looks great when scanned with modern technology :) it was not an only Japan thing. Many old film recordings could be scanned to look equally as great as this! However this scan is a really top quality scan because I can barely see any scratches, typical film artifact. Good job Japan!
