Listening to Django and/or The Hot Club of France, makes me wanna get a Parlour guitar, jump on a train and tour the countryside playing these old standards in the gypsy style. ...what a life. 🥰
My great great grandmother gave my family a teapot that has a music box on the bottom, if you grind it’s switch, the teapot plays this song. I’m so happy I found it :)
Can't stop listening to this great song performed by Grappelli and the "two fingered" maestro Reinhardt! Must rate as one of the best recordings of all time.
No need to debate the fact that this song, this rendition, emotes deeply and raises ill-defined emotions. The skill, craft AND spontaneity are unique to Django and Stephane. They never played a song the same way twice. There are three versions of "Tea for Two" that you can find by them and I go crazy over which I love most. What they accomplish in three minutes, many a great artist spent a lifetime to find and were denied by the Muse....
I agree, Jazz is spring music ! I love to listen to the Jazz in Paris collection, with Bobby Jaspar, with Stephane Grapelli and Stuff Smith... feels like Spring
I NEED THIS!!!....now the hunt begins...havent even looked, but doubt it made it to CD, but I like vinyl anyway...sigh....havent record hunted in a while....
The CD is cheaper directly from us - www.pastperfect.com/Detail.aspx?itemid=22 - and worth every penny/dime ! We haven't made a vinyl version though. Glad you've enjoyed such accomplished jazz musicians :)
Spotify sucks i cant find half the things i want to hear there and its easily found plus plus here. I dont know who wastes their time on spotify...but youre missing out on alot of great recordings that can be found on RUclips

Isn't it palpable how much Stephane loved this melody?

Found this account again after 4 years. The last video that I watched was this exact song. Very nostalgic

Creepy, sad, and lovely at the same time. Perfect song. Makes me think of a time that has long passed, a much simpler time.
Creepy? Personally I don’t find it creepy tho
(No hate it’s just my opinion)

In a minor key maybe hes refering to the tonality...often major keys are described as sounding happy minor as sad
@@imannonymous7707 TIL A major is a minor key

What a perfect masterpiece.
I don’t think I have heard the verse before. Thank you for posting this. These guys were so wonderful.
"Far from the Cry of the City", "I get no Kick from Champaigne"? A Pet Theory.
I love this song so much it's very peaceful and reminds me of spring for some reason

Only one way to describe this: perfect
how fitting that i fell asleep to this and woke up to this as well.
The picture above shows how this tune must be danced to. La crème de la crème of music.
A beauty indeed.
Prodigious Django, I don't know what is the most incredible : his solo or his accompaniment...both are unequalled
yes, he is complete.
Well said
I'm having the fanciest tea of all times
Fun music right here.
Pure magic Django ✨❤️
Merci ❤
This Channel is Glorious, Thank you
I love you ❤
Masterpiece.
Camomile and English tea for me, please and thank you. ^^
Tea Time!
The first genius of jazz guitar...yes there were others before. But in my opinion none held a candle to django
EXELENTE!!!!!!
Is this the same tea of two which Shostakovich played as Tahiti Trot? Yes, when this one is more jazz when that is much orchestral
Dj for Django
Django oh gee!

2950 BELLE ÉVIDENCE…
Chevaucher notre vie
Monté sur un tandem
En cherchant son idem
Un peu comme un messie…
L’alter-égo voulu
-En ultime prière
Toute simple et sincère-
Etant comme un salut…
Juste dire ‘Je t’aime’
Désirable sursis
Dissipant l’imprécis
De l’horizon trop blême…
Le futur alors clair
Sait s’ouvrir sur des nues
Qui sont les bienvenues
Qui bannissent l’hiver…

2950 BEAUTIFUL EVIDENCE…
Straddling our lives
Mounted on a tandem
Looking for his idem
A bit like a messiah…
The alter-ego wanted
-In the last prayer
Very simple and sincere-
Being like a greeting…
Just say ‘I love you’
Desirable stay
Dispelling the imprecise
From the horizon too pale…
The future then clear
Knows how to open up
Who are most welcome
Who banish winter…
