In the early 1990s, I had an elderly neighbor who was a widow. In the spring she would open all her windows and she would play her records. I was in elementary school when I was introduced to this beautiful music. She would play her records for hours. My bedtime was 9pm, I would sit out in the porch at night listening to these songs.
It was in "ancient" times when i used to listen to this music, and in faraway country but the magic was this same. It was my mother's music of her youth. Thank you❤
My mom (born 1926) was a radioholic. I (born 1948) was raised one also and the first radio memories I have are Korean War broadcasts as well as the great music of the 30’s and especially the 40’s. iPhone and Bluetooth are once again allowing me to enjoy the best secular music of my lifetime in spite of my hearing loss. HupHup!
I believe this was a time of some of the best music ever. I listen to it constantly, and I honestly feel like I grew up in the wrong era. As I push my son in his stroller through our neighborhood, which is filled with homes from the 1920s and 1930s, I find that playing this music in the background transports me back to a simpler age-an era without cell phones and computers. It was a time focused on family, work, and a great country. I truly love it. Thank you for sharing this wonderful music.
I'm 34 years old and this is not the music I grew up with but this has been the only music that eases my soul, sets me free and lifts me as if I weigh nothing. I often wondered if in my past life this was the music of my youth, if this was the music I danced to. I will never know that but I know for certain that this is the music that my soul belongs to.
Thank you for the beautiful music....I'm listening as I prepare the family meal, and it makes me feel relaxed and happy. Much appreciation from New Zealand. :)
I am so happy to have stumbled upon this station, I LOVE this music!! I have always felt a great connection to this era ever since I was younger; I was born in the late 70's. Thank you for these playlists, I will listen often. Right now I am listening from work.
Thank you for this!! I reorganized my closet and made room to stock up on a few things before the tariffs. Then, I organized my pantry. It's helping to go through things and clean!

Ooooooh, thank you. I so needed to be soothed today. You are a lifesaver! I'm going to definitely fix a cup of soothing, warm tea to meld with the music. 🎶 🧡🍁☕
@@uphapeedronellc8374 Ok then, here goes: You are brandishing millions of songs and sounds of today, 90-95%% of which you have likely not heard, as noise. Secondly, the notion of noise vs melody is subjective anyway. Noise is not a derogatory, it can have rhythm and beat, and melody can sound like noise when it gets annoying, (think Christmas songs on repeat). Even old music has been labelled as noise and then accepted later.
@@lotuseater7247 I've heard more than you think I have! Do you call jaw-bumping lyrics with no meaning, cursing, screaming, and mockery music? If you want examples, I'll be glad to get them for you.
@@uphapeedronellc8374 I don't need examples, I have not said they don't exist, I have said that you are incorrect to label the entire modern music as just noise. And yes, I would say that lyrics with no meaning is music too, literally these old songs do similar with their whistling. Screaming is also an ancient technique in music that has roots in Korea, China, and in Western Opera, as well as theater, going back to the 1920's. So yeah, that's why your comment is ridiculous and tiring. You sound like you have a narrow mind towards music anyway, so I won't bother anymore.
When a couple was a man and a woman, when it was okay to be white and a republican, when people didn't have to figure out what sex they were, we were proud to be Americans, and music was beautiful. Very nice!
La nature n'a pas changé. Elle reste et restera magnifique, et cette musique est en accord avec elle. Mais la société actuelle s'est coupée de la nature, et les gens coupés de la nature deviennent d'affreux zombies sans âme..
