Midwife here from Canada! As I tell my clients, you're very much so allowed to grieve for the birth plan you did not have at the same time as be grateful and happy that your baby is happy and well with a safe route of delivery.

@letsmakewishes Thank you for saying what was in my head and in my heart for them to know. I was crying just now reliving the grief I felt 20 years ago with my first child with an emergency c-section and then not being able to v-back for my second child. I didn't realize it still haunts me sometimes. Bottom line, we have 2 healthy children and that is the most important thing of all. Thank you for all you do and for the reminder for Gabie and Josh and everyone else reading.
@@elizabeththompson4304same! I was hoping for a v-back the 2nd time around. I even switched OB bc my Dr didn’t do them. After all that, and because of a stupid mistake from the hospital (they sent me home after a false alarm, even though I knew I was leaking fluids), I ended up having another emergency c-section. I was welcoming a baby at the same time I was grieving a months long birth plan. But in the end, the final hospital experience was so much better than the first time. And a happy, healthy baby is all I wanted because my first had to stay in NICU for 10 days.
We really do new mothers a disservice by calling it a birth plan in the first place. You just can't plan something with so many variables and possible complications. We should just start setting better expectaions and calling them birth preferences.
My birth plan went right out the window. The only part that came true was having my son in the hospital! My husband was on a deployment, and even though we planned for him to be home in time, our son came early, and via emergency c-section. He's 19 year old now. It's ok to be disappointed when the plan doesn't work out.

So true!!! You can never be sure until last minute. That happened with my 2nd son. He was also very acrobatic in utero, was breech at 36 wks, we scheduled the section, then he turned at 37 wks. Best wishes to you for a safe and healthy birth. Take good care and take your time coming back while enjoying motherhood.

Gabby believe it or not I had 2 breech babies, which is rare! Baby carrot is super snuggly inside your womb that is all! It’s much better this way than trying those other tricks to get her to move. You made the right decision. Have a happy, glorious delivery and we’ll see you when you’re up to it 💜

It is disappointed that what we planned for months and end up didn’t happen, but this will be a good story to tell carrot.
I got my kid in late 30’s, like you, I planned natural birth, but baby loved to stay in mommy tummy, didn’t want to come out after due date, after induction, still want to stay, so c section it was, I was crying and disappointed, but hey, now I have a story to tell my kid where my scar came from🥰.

저도 당근이처럼 역아였습니다...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ어 음 일단 엄마가 임신중독이 심해서 못걸어다니셔서 그런것도 있었고...또..제가 잠이 많은것도 있어서 잘 움직이지도 않았고...(지금도 그럼) 또 38세에 낳는 노산이셨어서 자연분만을 원하셨지만.. 강제 제왕절개..를...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
그래서 나중에 그얘기 듣고 엄마한테 미안...힘들게 해서...라고 했더니 엄마가 못움직인 이슈도 있었고, 또 의사선생님이 수술을 너무 잘해주셔서 남들이 겪는 제왕절개 통증도 거의 없으셨다구 해요!!!심지어 무통도 안맞으셨고 잘 낳고 별 무리없이 잘 회복하셨대요!!!물론 저희엄마가 워낙에 특이 케이스지만...그래도 임신까지 고생하셨던만큼 순산하시고 회복까지 별탈 없으시길 바랄께요!!!
순산하시고 무엇보다 가비님 건강 회복 잘 하셔서 오셨으면 좋겠습니다!!

저도 역아라고 의사쌤이 고양이 자세 열심히하라 해서 그게 될까? 하면서도 열심히 고양이 자세를 했는데 ... 정말 돌아오더라구여...
저도 딸셋 막내딸이 역아라 매일 고양이 자세 정상으로 돌아 왔는데 막내딸이 벌써 30살이 넘었네요 ^^~~~
저는 안돌았어요 😂 항상 그대로…
저도 고양이 자세 엄청 간절히 해서 결국 막판에 돌아서 나오더라고요 순산 기원합니다
저는 결국 안 돌아와서 38주0일에 제왕절개했어요. 37주에 역아회전술하러 중대에 유명한 선생님 찾아갔는데 아기가 골반에 껴있어서 아기가 많이 힘들꺼라해서 급하게 수술했네요. 수술하고 나니 아기 허벅지가 골반에 껴있어서 허벅지에 시퍼렇게 멍이 들어 있어서 마음이 아팠어요..그 멍이 한달 지나도 안 없어지더라구요.
고양이자세 포함 브뤼치 자세에 좋은 포즈 다 했는데 안되었어요 ㅜㅜ 저는 강북삼성에서 역아회전술 하고 다행히 성공했어요
육휴를 가지신다니 뭔가 너무 그리울듯요 ^^ 인스타로 당근이 소식을 계속 기다려봐야겠네요 ㅎㅎ

저는 작년 8월에 쭉 역아라고 해서 수술했는데 아기가 머리가 그 사이에 돌았더라구요^_ㅠ... 배 가르고 나니 머리가 까꿍!ㅎㅎ 😅😅 저도 억울한 마음이 좀 있었는데 그래도 아기도 저도 힘들지 않게 같이 만났다는거에 감사했습니다! 가비님도 출산 잘 하고 오셔요~! 파이팅!

아주 정말 정말 오랬동안 봐왔고 가비님 힘들때 마음이 아팠던 구독자중 한명이예요. 그래서인지 임신하셨을때 정말 마음속 깊이 축하했어요. 가비님도 당근이도 건강하길 기도할게요.
얼마나 건강하고 귀여운 아기가 나올지 상상도 안됩니다 ㅠㅠ 당근이 눈은 가비와 조쉬를닮아 왕크겠죠.. 벌써 이뻐…

제가 출산할 때 역아였는데 산부인과에서 진통할 때 아이가 다시 자세 잡을 수 있다고하여 진통할 때 옆으로 누워서 다리벌리고 있으라해서 그렇게 하면서 진통을 했는데 아이가 다행스럽게도 자리를 잡아서 자연분만 할 수 있었어요. 나중이 안 사실이지먼 진통시 병원가면 출산유도제(? 자궁수축을 촉진시키는 약)을 링거에 꽂아서 놔주는데 저한테는 링거가 잠겨 있는 상태라 수액과 함께 들어오는 그 약이 안들어오는 상태였고 그 덕분이 진통시간은 오래 걸렸지만 아이가 자세를 잡는 시간을 벌었던거 같아요. 저는 수중분만을 했는데 아이가 진통중에 자세를 잘 잡아서 성공적으로 자연분만을 잘 했습니다. 임신 축하드리고 순산기원하겠습니다. 어떠한 형태로 출산을 하던 아기와 산모가 모두 건강하기를 기원합니다.
산모도 당근이도 모두 건강하게 출산되길 주님께 기도합니다..^^

Don’t worry Gabie , I had a c-section because my son was breached. We even tried to have the doctor try to turn him but he was stuck in there. I too was so worked up wanting a natural birth but in the end as long as little carrot and you are well and happy, that’s all that matters. Looking forward to seeing your family or four soon. Love from Scotland.
