Hi Doctor - enjoy your videos. I seem to only get 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours of sleep a night. But I feel like I’m getting enough sleep. Have you ever heard of short sleepers? Am I a short sleeper? And is there any harm in being a short sleeper ? Wounded in combat Marines. I have PTSD and TBI combat veteran. On Lyrica & adderal.
Short sleepers certainly exist, but they are rare. There are many more people who think that they are short sleepers than the number of existing short sleepers. If you are really waking up feeling rested and alert, and you don't sleep considerably longer on weekends than on weekdays, I wouldn't worry about it. The overall statistics showing poorer health for both those sleeping significantly more than 8 hours/night AND those sleeping significantly less than 8 hours/night are group averages, so there are certainly some healthy individuals in each group.
Thank you Doctor for proper education on this topic on RUclips.
Thanks for your words of help. I’m going to try and sleep earlier tonight, I appreciate your advice 🙏😁Maria CORRIEA
Thanks for this information. I suspect these devices are providing more anxiety than help.
That seems to be what I see, but I won't pretend that it is a random sampling of users.
LED light therapy and IR Sauna helps me sleep. Also as you mentioned, a warm bath before bed seems to helpe. I want to get blackout curtains.
You might want to add cyclic sighing to your falling asleep tools. ruclips.net/video/EyX-L1TELfg/видео.html
