Food coloring would work and you don't leave it on for long. Jus apply it, give it a rub and heat from your hand then peel it off. The time will be for drying. You can use nail polish, too! You can spray with a clear coat for longevity.

Love these ideas!!! Just an FYI hack on spray insulation/ great stuff...if you mist it with water ( spray bottle) it'll almost double in size so you can stretch the amount of product.

These are all wonderful, creative ideas and I would do some of them. However, I live in the inner city in south Minneapolis, MN, USA, and those would be stolen and vandalized the same day I put them out on the lawn. We can't do these wonderful projects in the inner city. (the projects for outside). These people in the inner city and the adolescents are very destructive).
I totally 💯 understand that. Maybe do a couple of the smaller projects and put them inside your window for the kids in the neighborhood to enjoy looking at. Such a shame isn’t it?
I completely understand .Our Michigan Governor banned the sale of seed during Pandemic and I almost (ALMOST:(:( destroyed my start-up seed company called SeedMates llc . I invented the micro-green sheets (4000+seed properly spaced apart between 2 (10"x 20") recycled tissue sheets (took many years to creat the machining to produce quickly) but then Pandemic I fell behind (very behind living in a seasonal State.) but I'm going to decorate (my hopefully soon to be new) "sales tent" with Xmas decorations and show people how they can grow & eat healthy 🥬 foods convenient&, fast during the winter ❄️ and all year long indoors without lights or even soil:) Happy Holidays , I hope you have the best season ever. 🎄

@7:50 I did this before and I was frustrated that the entire plastic milk jug wasn't illuminated so I made the hole in back large enough for my hand to fit inside so that I could use CLEAR PRESENT WRAPPING tape to tape a few of the lights INSIDE along the top of the plastic milk jug. Problem solved. 💀👽👀😱
You know, some of the home talk ideas are quite clever and useful; some not so much. BUT, I WISH they would stop using the click bait garbage like "put string lights on a broom!" I'd still watch the videos if they just said "cute ideas for Halloween and Christmas decor". AND, obviously they did NOT wrap string lights around a broom in the video. It's a deceptive and unnecessary practice! 😡

How do you explain modern man's need to make junk with junk and to add frivolous stuff to one's environment. I suppose if we built our own houses and grew our own gardens and canned our own foods, raised animals, sewed and knitted our own clothes we would exhaust our inherent creative juices. There is an elegant sparseness to the life of the Amish who nevertheless have beautiful homes and farms and household items.
Don’t forget the importance of public art of all types. Make someone’s day. Cause a thought to blossom. So many people in this country are forced to live with next to nothing. Bring a smile to their face or make their children happy. You never know what will happen when you bring a little fun and/or beauty into another person’s life. Smile, it release good chemicals in your brain!
I’ve been stymied in my creativity by the desire not to add stuff to our home. Then it dawned on me that home repair/barn repair/chicken coop repair is really just a big craft project. I have my own power tools now, and am having fun.
And all or 99% of all this wastefull junk is made in China under the worst abusive labor imaginable. And yet, we continue.... And all for what exactly...

It's right at 7 minutes, the broom is taken off the handle and only the handle is used. Hope that helps!
