I came out the way every time they play came to Jacksonville Florida. I missed it. I was going to go to New York to see it on the right. I hope I get to see it before the movie.
Is it just me or is Ariana Grande just doing her best Kristin Chenoweth impression? It's not necessarily a bad thing I guess...?

Everyone is beautiful in their own complexity.
the book was phenomenal i hope the movie does it justice
That’s literally the whole movie lol
Except it’s not. It’s a musical and they barely showcased any of the songs ? Also we know the story already
Except it is. The trailer showcased several songs and covered the entire outline of the movie, even the ending! That’s not what good trailers do.
Wicked is going to be box office bomb & woke
The aesthetics lack originality and are too reminiscent of Oz the great and powerful which was totally forgettable. Hollywood needs to bring Art and style back into its equation. These movies all look the same.
Couldn't disagree more. Get those eyes checked.
@@donovan311 the brain is responsible for developing taste not the eyes dear. Culture and experience as well. This looks like the CGI stuff that’s been done over and over. Movies like The Wizard of Oz, Funny Girl, Star Wars, The Lord Of The Rings, In The Mood For Love, Space Odyssey, Marie Antoinette, The Royal Tenenbaums to only name a few stood the test of time because they relied on great script first and great styling served that script. In Oz, Star Wars and The Lord Of The Rings they used the best special effects available in their time. The Lord Of the Rings was incredibly tasteful and natural looking. Today CGI and technology allows for infinite possibilities but they abuse it in tasteless overloads. Every film tries to be Avatar (which is aesthetically questionable as well by the way) and ends up looking forgettable like most of what Disney and Marvel have been doing for years. This will be a hit no doubt but I’ve seen Wicked on stage multiple times and it had a particular mood that didn’t translate here. They went generic, at least from what the trailer shows, especially in the last images.
the movie is
based on the book “wicked” which is a prequel to wizard of oz…… so it should be reminiscent of wizard of oz … that is the purpose of it to make the connection..
@@moongodess639 and this is in answer to what?
Musicals went out in the 1940s, 50s. Would have been a good movie 🍿
Absolutely not lol the hell are you talking about
west end productions and broadway shows are still selling out… i guess its certain demographics that it reaches
[Dyslexic] I'm very excited! STELLAR CAST! I'm a Theatre Snob! Most film adaptations are HORRIBLE! The industry selects "box office" actors--with weak vocals. GREASE started on stage in Chicago. I LOVED IT! I was very happy when it went to Broadway! I'd been a fan of John Travolta's since "Welcome Back Kotter". Then he opened his mouth to sing! I've only seen the movie ONCE. I was traumatized.
