      For more than 2 lines on CATV I recommend using a ring clamp 🤙

      @@DanielADng The optimal approach is to utilize Direct Connect as the primary method. The use of clamps should be reserved only for situations where a direct connection to a cable is not feasible. When dealing with a pedestal (ped) containing four or more cables, clamping onto each cable carries a significant risk of not accurately marking all four cables exiting the ped. This risk arises due to the interference caused by clamping, as the lowest frequency available for clamps is 8 kilohertz. This frequency can lead to signal bleeding onto the other cables leaving the ped. The best method is bringing all the cables back to the congested area CATV ped, ensuring 100% accurate all cables are properly marked. ✔

      ​@@811chicago5if your Max Power on your box is set to anything over 2 watts (in my experience), yes, you're correct. However, if you utilize this setting and set it to 1-2 watts (most are unaware of this setting or don't understand it), then you're absolutely wrong.
      When you direct connect, your transmitter automatically finds the optimal wattage between 1 and 10 (or 3/5 for TX 3/TX 5). When you ring clamp, this is not the case and your transmitter is actually putting out 10%, 20%, 50%, or 100% of the maximum power you have it set at. If you're ring clamping a congested area at 1 watt (10% of 10 watt), your statement is correct. If, on the other hand, you are ring clamping at 0.1 watts (10% of a 1 watt max) it changes everything, including what frequencies you can use. 95% of the time when I ring clamp and set it to 0.1 watts (10% of 1 watt), 83kHz runs better than 8 and 33. 8 barely runs, 33 bleeds on everything, but 83kHz will tone excellent and has virtually no bleed off. By utilizing Max Power, ring clamping is often superior to direct connect. (Remember not to unbound when clamping)
      Another thing, in response to your mention of 8kHz... The best practice for finding the optimal frequency that I've found is to direct connect to copper phone and close the circuit (or whatever you know will give you your max mA and lowest voltage) and cycle through your frequencies, checking the resistance for each one and then choosing the one with the lowest resistance.

    What frequency are you running on. Have you also tried Un Bonding the CTV or using the ring clamp…. I couldn’t tell but it appears you were locating on 60 or 65 I couldn’t tell

      Un Bonding the CTV? I'm using 9.8 kHz and have a great tone on the phone line. With the Cable TV network, I don't know why people remove the main ground of the network.

      @@811chicago5 Absolutely! It may or may not do similar with dropping the box... Haven't really investigated since I don't locate power much anymore and I had only needed it for bulk feeders or primaries with underground fuses at the switch cabinets.
