The fact that you can modulate anything in Bitwig is what makes it the best DAW , for me. It’s the most inspiring piece of software I have ever laid my hands on.
I like the arpeggiator with the drum machine to create rhythms I miss certain max for live devices from Ableton like drum brain .! have to play with this one haha and try and build something like it 🙌🏽
Great stuff as always, amigo.! One suggestion: to make modulations of Arp Note Types work (quarter to dotted quarters to swing etc) you could always throw a Quantize Module afterwards and modulate its Forgiveness param. This way you can control the rhythmic craziness you were battling with while also allowing for burst of semi-randomness. Nice way to alleviate that overly-robotic arp feel (if so desired). 👍
@@AlexReidStudios well, then... I guess my kink is hearing Spanish speakers say arpeggio with decent Italian pronunciation? Please make more videos where you say arpeggio kthx do you have only fans wait i didn't mean to type that
Yeck yes! Bitwigs arp id an absolute powerhouse, but I did not think of using it as a polyrhythm (Euclidian) generation hub by putting it into an note fx chain. That tip would have saved me half a day on the note grid. Thanks!
I get the mask as a sort of “gimmick”, but its really difficult to stay in an information-receptive state when confronted with it. It’s really, really, distracting and jarring. Can you maybe… not do that?
You speak too fast for a Frenchman, I didn't see any probability on Bitwig's arpeggiator, I use Stepic VST on Cubase which is powerful but also without probability. thank you for this video Merci Phil

For me too! Love modulations and how every third party has the parameters mapped to macros
You are amazing my friend …thank you !!
Thank you :)

The note repeat device also creates a lot of fun rythms. With the modulators and note grouos you gan get a lot of fun stuff too

Thanls for the tip!I tend to forget some stuf lol. I love creating non straight rythms
@@AlexReidStudios yup, yo también!
Hearing an Italian speaker saying "arpeggio" is a delight
Although I know italian, my native language is spanish! But yeah, I respect all the italian pronunciation

@@GeorgeLocke LOOOOL I love arpeggios so probably gonna say it again
Thanks for the really cool Bitwig tips!
You're welcome! More on the way :)
An amazing find. I'll need to watch it more than once.
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful.
Thank you. How to properly remove an old version of Bitwig after installing a new version?
You need to manually uninstall it

I've been using less and less the grids thanks to the note containers
I wish they would add more scales to the Note Scale device.
Or if yoy could add custom ones
@@AlexReidStudios to the actual device or just in the piano roll?
@@MrOuija-rr8kq On the device
Future 12/07/24- What you are describing sound a lot like Step Wise the new Step sequencer did you hep make it.
@@albshore8 Lol yeah, I can fantasize that they watched this video
Great overview and use of the arp!
Thank you! Glad to know you liked it
Good Tips wow!!
Glad you liked them!
Thank you dude 👍😊😊😊😊
You're welcome :)
bet you could also do some pretty neat generative break beat type stuff with that as well
yeah, with percussion the options are crazy
I'm just curious if you overdub your voice? I guess it would sound boxy if you were to record in the mask)
Yeah haha, it's easier also to edit the audio
I love the part about the polyrhythms :)
Thabk you! I'm a bit obsessed with them so I always try to make it on every sequencer lol.
Fav new Music Production dude! keep it up! Always well worth watching!
Thank you so much for this comment :). Glad you are liking my videos.
superb!
Thank you!
I have definitely not been maxing out Bitwig's capacity that's for sure lol
Take your time and explore it, its really fun
@@AlexReidStudios I learn new stuff every day I experiment a new way to do something. So powerful

not 4:5 polyrhythm :(

I understand your point, and I want to do something about it, but I'm keeping it for now

I think you can use some probability modulations. Btw, I'm sorry to dissapoint but my main language is spanish :(
