. The only one ever made by Chrysler motor corporation and the only one in existence today. this is a true one off Chrysler corporation automobile that came with sourced factory parts and factory built hemispherical heads. This specially ordered car was equipped with a factory numbered parts package. Plymouth did not install a hemi engine in their Customers cars until 1966. 11 years after this car.

Some 1955 Plymouths came with a polysphere version of the Dodge Red Ram hemi. If you had one of those it would be easy to bolt on the Dodge heads.
Others came with the all new polysphere V8 that later grew into the 318. That one had no hemi counterpart and there are no hemi heads that fit.
So yes, it is possible a 55 Plymouth was converted to a hemi. Anyone could do it if they had one with the right poly, and the heads off a Dodge. I think it extremely unlikely this was done by a dealer when the car was new.

Big deal. It's nice that it was converted by a dealer, but it's still not a factory hemi.

They got the story wrong, the hemi came in the car from the factory.
