- Life challenges and months of relentless adverse weather have prevented me from being able to fly. This is my first flight with Eve this year, as we take the opportunity to get back into the air.
We were unable to plan anything exciting for this video, but would love to have you join us for the flight!

Not all my landings are good… I executed a shocking dumping of the aircraft on the ground on my last sortie that day!!! 😳😄

Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing another lovely video. My flying has also been hampered by the weather but I've been taking my chances when I can. I was flying on the bank holiday weekend, I was gliding on the Saturday (a busy day at Lasham as the soaring conditions were good) and I flew the motor glider on the Sunday. I went down to the south coast over Hayling Island, around Selsey and then turned back to Lasham over Bognor Regis. I must visit Goodwood soon. I do like the south cost on a sunny day. I hope that the weather improves and we can look forward to more of your wonderful vidoes.

Nice to see you back in the air again. I managed to get to Goodwood for the first time at the end of January. Haven't flown since. This weather has been biblical. Fingers crossed for an improvement in the second half of this month.

I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to fly again, especially as I missed that weather window last Saturday : yup, that was me camping and pretending it was all just normal. Isn't that just English stoicism? Sad to hear of your loss, that's really tough to deal with 😒Hope to see you at Goodwood/Sandown/Popham/Bembridge at some stage as we make up for all the lost hours 😁 Cheers.

Good to see your Dad was a proper biker, looks like he was a character. Did you ever get to take him flying?
He started riding bikes back in the 1960’s & was a great man. We used to go riding together in France, which was amazing. I only managed to take him flying once (as he had a bad stroke some years ago). I did make a video on that flight, but kept it private. I’m glad I was able to share that experience with him though 😔
@@FlyingDarkLordSame story here. I got to take my late Father on one flight. He suffered vascular Dementia so there was not much conversation between that and my coms failing mid flight. 🙄 He was the one who fired my passion for flying by taking me to Manchester Airport as a kid to watch the planes. We both knew what that flight meant even if it wasn't spoken.

Yup, it does rain a bit 😄… In the last six months we’ve had only a few days of VFR flying days where the airfield isn’t also waterlogged 🤦🏻♂️ Still, hopefully things will improve as we move towards ‘summer’ 🤞🏼

@@FlyingDarkLord after a phase of weather like that, I can understand anyone wanting to emigrate; though where I grew up in Australia had a higher average rainfall than my mother’s family came from in Wales, so it’s not always sunny!
