I love the entire album, but there's something about Schala's theme that is utterly haunting to me. The frozen zenith and a couple of the other remixes I love listening to when I need to get in the zone creatively
@@gideonhodge3723 To me, Schala's theme is haunting, daunting, and horrifyingly nostalgic. I teared up the first time I listened to it again by chance after my childhood (my older brother used to play CT/CC). I cried the first time I heard RichaadEB's earlier metal cover of Schala's theme.
It's such a transcendent song, and also - to me - metal makes everything better. Still makes me tear up at 30.

Replaying Chrono Trigger for the umpteenth time and recalled how Schala's theme effected me as a teen. Then I find this cover decades later. I'm in tears, this is beautiful. F*cking wow. Just wow.

Lurker here. Schala's Theme other Chrono Trigger remixes were what got me into listening a lot here, so hearing it remixed again is awesome.

It's barely the same tune. He's improvised so much beyond the base theme that it might as well be its own composition. It's good, but it's barely Schala's Theme.

This is an original composition, built from the ground up, yet at any point in the song, even when started off in a random spot, I am brought back to parts of Chrono Trigger involving Schala, especially emotional moments, when this song's name-sake was used.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do - it turns Schala's Theme into a djenty progressive metal composition that still feels like Schala's Theme.
Now, I'm just a drummer, so, hey, what do I know? I'm not even a real musician.

Lots of attack, lots of depth, and punchy as hell. That's your new kick, my friend. It stands out in mixes, it thumps the sub, yet it stands out when listening on a cellphone speaker. It's GREAT.

You've definitely improved so much, into one of the best on here. I agree with other comments, would love to see you release an album of CT/CC covers! I'm sure tons of us would buy it. Some people claim to make "metal" covers, this is actually true to that statement.
this isn't a cover. it's not bad, but it's not a cover. it's more original stuff with bits of schala's theme peppered in, if anything.
Have you even listened to Schala's theme before? Even if you have, I suggest you listen to it again and then come back to listen to this again. It's definitely a cover.

Man, hearing Chrono Trigger music is so nostalgic for me. It was by far one of the best games ever made, period. It got so many things right and I don't think there ever was any game quite as close to perfection as CT. Literally everything in CT fits together so well and it was made in the 90s for SNES. Great story, characters, music, artwork, gameplay, etc...nothing like it.
If you are a CT fan, you probably remember Schala from the game and what happened to her...so you'll understand just how perfectly this music fits. If you've never played the game get an emulator and do it. Just like the music, greatness is timeless.
And of course @RichaadEB, you nailed it with your CT remixes...makes me wish that game companies would actually put the blind pursuit of profits aside and just gather all the talented people in their fields together to make something awesome - which is what happened with CT in a sense. I've wanted to do that myself for a while now but it's hard to find people willing to do something just for the sake of doing it without it devolving into squabbles about who gets paid what.

Hello. I just want to mention one thing. This is a theme of Schala winning over Lavos. Battle begins, but she is taking over. And that's why this theme gets so heavy and metal. As she triumphs. For her brother. For Zeal.
This is maybe the best cover of this theme I've heard, and my gosh are there a lot of them. Brilliant work, absolutely wonderful.

The deep low end, the great job you've done with mixing, and that kick is perfect to compliment your rhythm guitar track - it has tons of attack, yet it also has lots of depth and is very subwoofer friendly.

Dude, keep updating your CT stuff, it's great. But also, I'd LOVE to hear you update a few select tunes, including MegaMan2's Dr. Wiley's Castle theme... and... don't hit me but ... your Gauntlet theme. Simply because your command of mixing and mastering has come SO FAR, as well as your playing.

I mean ... I know Gauntlet was hard as shit, which you let us know at the beginning of it, but omfg it's a badass tune (and my wife's favorite, lol).

Musically, the guitar rhythm gives it a trapped sound, and the high pitch harmonics sound like screaming, in the way that Schala was for an eternity waiting next to death after her encounter with Lavos. Incredible cover, brings me back a good five years to better times

Well done man! I really love Schala's Theme in the game because of it's tribal vibe along with the mechanical rhythm which resembles everything the Kingdom of Zeal stood for. But I also thought it lacked to show how hard and heavy Schala's story was. This version here just puts it right there! Amazing.
I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this but just in case: Have you thought about making a version of Radical Dreamers? That would give me the chills!
