I'm pretty happy with the re-hiring of Lindy Ruff.

Ruff is taking over at the right time. I believe UPL is on the verge of becoming an all world goalie. And, Levi will be right behind him. Ruff has to be thanking his lucky stars...

Couldnt agree more, were in the upswing of a lot of developing players, thank you Don Granato. Now we have a proven coach who can push these kids into more specific roles, and push to the next level of winning. Of course there is still room to improve the team there always is, but who knows whats on the market and whats available. What if nothing is available. People talk about KA and Pegulas like we have unlimited options like every player is available to us and they all want to be here, or every player is the answer we need. The answer we need is the answer that works when it works and is available otherwise these people need to stop fantasizing about what could be or should be.

If we didn’t hire Lindy all these negative fans would find something else to complain about and say we should have hired him. I think with where the team is at it won’t hurt us to see where it goes. We can always get another experienced and established coach later on if it calls for it. The hiring is a logical one.

Missed the playoffs 3 out 4 years in NJ and 5 out of 8 years combined with Dallas and NJ. An actual cup winning coach available in Berube, but hey, let's bring back Ruff because nostalgia

Money grab by Pegula he knows asses will be in seats next season I mean look at the last few you could hear a pin drop in that barn and it's his own damn fault i guess the Bills are more important. Personally don't know what to think about this maybe excitement but idk hopefully Ruff is still a badass

@MrOffroadjunkie I think it's time to admit Pegula doesn't know how to run a sports franchise, and neither do the people he's hired to be GM and coach in either league

@@scottmccombs2257 Either Pegula doesn't know how to run a franchise, or he does? Make up your mind.
I am saying at least he hired someone better then the last 13 years, if you expect him to hire the best person for the job you haven't been paying attention.

Samuelson too brittle, Power scary every time he touches the puck on the power play... I hope they address these issues and if a trade is necessary... THEN DO IT. Also will be interesting to see staff changes. They were rarely prepared to start games and they needs to change.

Lance please tell me that is not Bob Suave's helmet behind you LOL. My favorite all time goalie was Don Edwards. It's funny I disagree with you about UPL. I do not believe he is the goalie of the future he is much like Suave in the sense he uses his body to block shots where Levi is like Don Edwards he actually is a goalie.

Back to the past. An organization without any dynamic vision. The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

What’s insanity is our fans that want to give up on rebuild after rebuild instead of trusting the process. No dynamic vision? Really? We loaded our roster with young draft picks when the fans were crying to keep overpaying free agents. It IS a dynamic vision. Ruff will help the players fix the key details.

I've been a Sabres fan since the beginning. Sorry, after all these years of futility under Pegula, I have zero confidence that things are going to change. I've seen too many of Pegula's cronyism/snap/emotional hiring decisions and you know this is one of them. Things are rotten at the top and Pegula has no clue about hockey. I understand from a Devils podcast that Lindy allowed a country club atmosphere with the Devils. Besides the Sabres' obvious long-term problems, if true, this is alarming.
