I really miss C4D. Worked with C4D for 17 years. R12 was my last version. after all those years not having C4D, I still get a warm feeling for C4D. Best program I used. Perhaps I need to start again with this hobby. Nice tutorial…
What exactly is a game changer? displacement maps are used for smaller details, but when it comes to details that big, you definitely want to model them. a peace of advice: use blender it has much more and better tutorials and mist of them are free.
@@pactube8833 never had issues creating it with displacement maps. Also i've been using C4D which is imo a lot better so I rather stick with that, ty for ur tips tho

@@polygonpen Hi, whenever you have a moment, could you please clarify the process of making the subdivision surface editable around the 2:36 mark? I'm a bit stuck at that point. Thank you!
It would be great if we could close polygon holes between projected polygon lines, then subdivide by quads insted of closing manually by polygon pen, and then reproject that subdivided polygon selections to target object
really really i never seen before someone who show us how to make an object like this with this way, Thank you from my heart, you have the best channel for modelling, road to 100k soon 😍😍. do you have a professional courses ??
Hi, whenever you have a moment, could you please clarify the process of making the subdivision surface editable around the 2:36 mark? I'm a bit stuck at that point. Thank you!
@@polygonpen thank you for that clarification! i have another QQ if you have the time to answer. is there away to turn off the symmetry function during the painting the layer part of the project. because my model isn’t completely symmetrical. also is bd paint 3d the same as paint tool in C4D? thank you again for the help!
Wow what an amazing way to model a complex bottle as you've shown, bravo. Would you go about this the same way if you had a logo or a more intricate shape on the bottle, or just use a displacement mapped?
Thank you very much. You can do such things with this technique but this is the limit for me, I would use displacement texture for logos, but if the client ask for logo to be engraved on the model specifically, I have to model polygonally though .
When I add the new polygon with the Polygon pen, how do you move the secondary edges you create while they are still being projected? I'm missing something as when I CTRL + drag the edge, it does not project onto the surface of the bottle that we created in teh earlier step. What am I missing?
Interesting to watch really. But one thing comes to my mind. Wouldn't there be an easier way? Like projecting splines onto the surface, tweak them properly and use them somehow in sculpting mode? Without need to manually draw all polygons onto already finished form of the bottle?
Hi there, thanks for this tutorial. When I press 'X-Ray' and then try to 3D brush paint on to the object, the 3D brush is totally disabled! What do I do? Really stuck, thanks!
Hi there, I'm having a difficult time to provide the right radius, every time I shape the edges in front view it doesn't seem to make whole object radius, it turns to get kind of flat in perspective view, is there any adjustment I need to do in order for me to get the right shape? If anybody can help me I would appreciate it so much.
Hi, I want to follow this tutorial, but I don't have Octane, I have the latest version of Redshift and Cinema 4D where the UI is completely messed up and totally different and I don't know how to light in Octane, only in Redshift. So how would you approach this with Redshift once you get to the materials and lighting part?
@@polygonpen Also, the normals got screwed up once I connected the connect object in the shrink wrap's target object field. All of my polygons are distored and twisted or facing the wrong way now.
Please show at least some of the settings of an already finished scene, namely, how the material + light is configured ... No need for detail, but if at least some drops were shown well Thank you for the lesson
It is just a room HDRI and a black HDRI for visibility, GI is set to Pathtracing, that's all, for the material, it is a specular material with dark color.

Enable projection option in the polygon pen tool.
How do you extrude by using commands and keeping it on the same plane as the original cylinder. So its all one smooth polygon?
I use shrink wrap deformer, if it is what you are asking.
