Installing Viking Double Adjustable Shocks On The LS Swapped G Body Malibu

Installing the Viking Warrior double adjustable shocks on my 6.0 LS swapped G Body Malibu didn't go exactly as planned, but what's new! I really should have caught the problem before I bought new lower shock studs, but Quick Performance didn't make the lower control arm bracket on the same angle as stock and it has to be the same angle to mount up to the top mount. Luckily TRZ Motorsports makes a lower coilover shock mount that changes the direction of the lower half of the shock allowing it to pivot. They are made to extend the shock from the axle to give room for the spring on a coilover shock but work perfect for what I needed too.

Right at $400 after paying taxes. They were listed for $369 for the pair on eBay.

What lb rating of spring did you go with? I’m between a 650lb vs 850lb on a 86 El Camino for the front shocks.
