My 55 currently has Angel's, rams, neons, a bristle nose and cory cats, along with plants from Dustin of course.
MY 55G is 2 red belly piranhas, ember tetras, rummy noise tetras, red minor tetras, cory cats
A nice school of Congo tetras looks nice
Maybe with some Cribs and/or a Leaf Fish.
It does! Sadly they beat eachother up like the bad bullies at high school until there is only one left.
Great choices champ
Love your content
Great video 👍
30 tiger barbs (original color form, all the same), 15 panda corys, 10 kuhli loaches, 5 hillstream loaches, 1 red tailed shark
cool
One koi angelfish, glowlight tetras, two yellow bristlenose thats what I have and its groovy Dustin 🍀✌️
3-point-ohmygawd that's gonna be badass.
Dustin. I own a 55 gallon. And at the moment I have one Koi Angelfish that’s about 4.5” - 5” housed with your nemesis...Discus. I have 2 red, 2 torquoise, and a solid blue discus. I would even like to add a black knife fish. I know people have some reservations about angels and discus being housed together. But I haven’t had any issues. A fellow hobbyists told me to add the discus first and let them get settled before I added the angels. I took his advice and I haven’t had any issues.
Very fun video. I would go heavily planted with 50+ rummy nose tetra and a 12 Cory cats. And for those who would say that is over stocked I say that it is producing way less wast than the 2 fancy goldfish that I would do as an alternative.
I got nothing in my 55 Ga tank... definitely I’m getting the rainbow fish. Beautiful looking red ones.
I’ve got 6 angels, 18 cardinals, 8 balloon mollies and 12 corys. Well planted and bog wood. All good
The rainbow fish tank is awesome.where do u find vedio of tank in 6.38
1) Giant Danios
2) 10 Black Skirt Tetras, 10 Black Neon Tetras, 10 Bronze Corys and 1 or 2 Ancistrus.
Dustin to the top
I’m currently having success with hornwort with cichlids
Rainbow and redtail sharks would be cool choices for a 55 imo
My 55 has the Red Wag Platys, good to see I am not the only one. My only issue with it, they breed like crazy with a nice planted tank. Be prepared to have to many even for a 55.
White clouds are underrated get a few competing males with good waterflow along the front of the tank, big eaters as well
A lot of zebra danios. They are cheap, very active, they school, and they look killer if you feed them well. They also do well in a rainbow tank.
I would like angels and electric blue acaras for mid water and Cory or bristlenose for the bottom.🐟🌿😊👍
I would do a 55 with endler guppies and cherry shrimp the endlers are smaller and more hardy and the cherry shrimp would be a nice clean up crew they would also breed really well in a planted tank together
Wish I had a 55 gallon, happy with what I have though cannot complain.
I just got one for 100
@@kevinhood7854 You have to be in the US because even used here they start at $500
Yo dusty can you do a top ten plants that don’t need dirt or special substrate and ( this is optional) are beginner friendly
awesome and exciting video but darn D i dont have a 55 g i have 1 20L with Gold Barb and a 10 g with 5 Gold barb fry that are about ready to join it s parents but your fish choices are great
Aww. Poor Karen ❤️
I have goldfish in 3 of my 55 gallon tanks. I finally got a few Koi Angels. One I adopted along with a HUGE pleco and Rafael cat. I picked up two little Koi Angels at my local shop thinking at least one would be opposite to the one I had. Turned out they are a pair! The adopted one is a female and larger. She laid eggs thus making my ability to know what she was. ( her name is Sunshine and yes, she is a sassy girl! Lol!)
I’d like to turn at least one 55 into a community tank someday.
And way to go with that awesome neighbor, anti- lady !!
I feel like everyone should own some Cory catfish, so beautiful and cute color variety, they are easy, have nice personalities and will always love to eat.
@@drexecution7559 sorry for being really late but yes it should be fine since they like to stay in different levels of the tank but angels are cichlids so they could always be a hit or miss. But what ever you do you should add at least 4 more corys
Lol coming out of the outhouse for #2
I still love my Madagascar rainbows. They are hardier than the boesemani I have kept. They have awesome personality. Their colours aren't as in your face as other rainbows but they still have a nice assortment of colours. Madagascar rainbows get big so you do probably need a bigger tank than a 55 (depending on how good you are at maintenance schedules), but I just wanted to shout out an underrated rainbow. :)
My 200liter high cube i got 1 paired set of Angels 7 Diamond tetra , 5 panda corys , 20 something green neon's and 3 stray cardinals oh and 3 Otos ,,,, heavy planting .. been a year ,, always get lost when i sit and enjoy the scape .... 1 80% water change a week , temps at 26c
Regards from the UK
Stay Safe all ...
Thanks Dustin ,,,
in my 55 im rocking... heavy plants of course (Val) with black neon tetras, dojos and corys and a big ol ladyyyy tiretrack eel...
Angels, Rams, and of course, rainbows.
Love pencilfish
Full of thin bar silver dollar, shiny silver tanks ❤
What?! I am quite surprised that you didnt mention neon tetras. I love 55 gallon tanks though. Just big enough to have lots of fish, but not overwhelming in size to care for. I personally have a 33 long which is the same dimension as the 55 but 12 inches tall. I have mostly guppies in it and a few glowlight tetras. Personally in a 55 I would do guppies and then either bloodfin or neon tetras.
We wanna see more
I realize that eventually I will move up ton 110 g but for now 4 discus, 2 juvenile same sex angelfish, 6 juvenile clown loaches, dwarf neon rainbow fish and electric blue rams. What do you think?
I decided to challenge the idea that you cant have a nice planted tank with cichlids by adding jungle val, crypts, hygrophila carymbosa, and just a few java fern and anubias. The plants are grown in dense enough into the substrate that the fish will swim through the growth but they do not disturb the and uproot the substrate or eat the plants.
and of course all the plants were purchased from you!
That’s awesome. I always figured it could be done if the plant load was thick enough in the aquarium
@@Dustinsfishtanks I agree! I've done it several times myself. The key to my success was establishing the plants first so their roots were thick enough to handle the fish.
Golden mountain minnows, heavy water flow with a dark rock planted setup. 10 pack of ottos and it's perfect
I like the sound of that 55. You could do it cold water too right?
@@Dustinsfishtanks sure could!
What aquarium was that at 3:00? I'd love to visit!
Can rainbow fish be in a 55 tank with guppies and platy?
Wild pond update soon?
Electric blue acaras, opaline gourami, gardneri killifish, tiger barbs, bristlenose plecos, yoyo loach and plattys. I've got a total of 28 fish. They all get along!!! No fin nipping or anything.
Denison Barbs.
Does anyone have any experience adding CO2 to a low light tank? How do anubias / crypts respond?
#idontknowweremyexcavatoris yeah i mispelled... maybe lol tetras in a 55 gallon all kinds in groups of 7 or more it looks stunning with 8 or more cory cats ask me how i know i am looking at an awesome 55 tetra techno tuesday tank right now yeah bro i went way back. im loving it keep up the good work i know it is not easy and all the inspiration. question are you open to the public yet? ill buy a flight to your shop. My 55 g currently has 1 albino rainbow shark 🦈, 1 clown pleco and 36 neon tetras with two angelfish 🐠🐠👋👽
Angel fish
A 55 gallon filled with either Shell Dweller Cichlids or Kribensis
How would rainbows and one electric blue arcara as a centerpiece with some loaches do
What your opinion before I by them for my 55
I like my school of tiger barbs and the few bumblebee cats I have.
After your first little 5, 10, or 20 step up to a 40 breeder. 15 gallons less than a 55 sure but it has a larger footprint and more room for scaping. Get down with a banging hard scrape and HEAVILY plant. Put in a school of danios and 8 dwarf puffers. Then move up to a 75 for your first really big tank.
My 55 has 3 acaras 1 convict and 8 tiger barbs with 2 bristlenose plecos...I keep 2 giant swords they pick at it but not enough to mess it up or make it look baf
Comment like there aint no words left
A tank full of guppies would be awesome
I think the guppies would be killer....water sprite- water lettuce- babies galoor
School of emperor tetras, cory cats, pair of rams, and a pair of pistos.
Hadir dari Indonesia
My 200 liters holds 5 angels, 3 plecos, 5 corycats and some-teen small juveniles from local european rivers.
6 long fin odessa barbs 10 zebra danios 1BN pleco 5 Albino Corys and a pair of bolivian rams
What ever happened to the 220?
Loaches...👍👍👍🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹...
Bring him up pls people
is this the guy with the plants he sells online?
Barbs
Especially gold barbs... a large school of them.
Hey D can you hit me up I have an idea in mind and it's taylored to your style and I think it can sky rocket for you...

I almost forgot about Karen , how's Kareem and the Kids??
Hahah, kareem left us not long after Karen
Bosemani in a 55gallon? Way too small tank. At least 100 gallons recommended.
Angelfish: tank has to be at least 2 feet high.
Feeding my Rhinogobius is very easy: I feed them with a long tube to the bottom.
I keep/kept Rhinogobius, (very rare) goodeids, small rainbows, danios, minnows and in particular PSEUDOMOGIL (blue eyes) in my 55g tanks.
