Old Man Cooking was originally created by Tom (Old Man Cooking). He passed away in 2017, leaving behind a treasure trove of recipes and funny commentary. He passed the torch to his oldest son, who is attempting to maintain his cooking legacy. Thanks to all that have supported him, he was a great father and cook, with a wonderful sense of humor. He is dearly missed.
Tomato Bisque Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion
4 cloves garlic
4 fresh tomatoes (about 4 romas)
4 cups chicken broth
3 tbsp white rice
1/2 serrano pepper, or 1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil
Add Chicken broth and tomatoes
Bring to a simmer
Add seasonings and rice
Cover and simmer for 30 mins
Blend with immersion blender until silky smooth
Add cream and stir
Garnish and serve

Oh Yeah Bebe! Had been a while since I heard that! Great to see you doing videos on here! Mr. Tom was a great man we messaged a couple of times and mostly talked about how he grew up in Robstown, TX which is only about 20 minutes away from where I live in Alice. May he RIP.

I was so sad when I heard he passed away, I loved the country aspect and warmth he brought to cooking, I'm happy, as many are, that you are doing this.Happy cooking!
I was so sad when I found out too! I cried and let my roomies know he passed away. I repeatedly watch some of his vids to make certain meals, so they knew who he was too. Now I am SO happy to see more content coming.

I'm all the way out in Cali and found his channel a few years back. I still watch once or twice a week to make sure I follow his yummy recipes that have become a staple in our home. So please know your father's legacy will for sure live on!

Thanks for doing this. It's a fitting tribute to your Dad. I've tried about 10-12 of his recipes and they all pretty much came out wonderfully. His videos always had a way of relaxing me when I watched them. Maybe it was his voice or carefree attitude, but as I watched them I could feel my problems melt away. Hope to see more videos from you in the future.

I will definitely try this recipe, you did a great job, TY👍🙂 he will be proud. There is an amazing grill cheese recipe and I was wandering if you have tried it? It is a butter/mayo and a Smoked paprika blend?
