This is a powerful antioxidant serum that is popular as it also leaves the skin with a lovely glow! Earlier in the year, I had purchased Alpha Lipoic based on the suggestion from Dr Davin Lim. I remember it causing some irritation the next day so I stopped using it. It’s now has been sitting in my drawer for the last several months. I think I’m going to give it another go. I like your suggestion to avoid mixing or layering it with other products. Thanks again for another great review!

Hey J, i have and use this once x week and like you have to use it on tret and aha off nights. I use it for the antioxidant benefits more than the exfoliation. I'd like to read the research how it works the following day after PM application or if that's marketing BS. Either way i have now repurchased 3 times and a bottle lasts a LONG time. If i thought it worked for wrinkles i'd dunk my head in it. But like most skincare its about doing whatever we can in he hope it works lol. Have a blessed week bro xox

I use this every night and my skin lovesss it! NO problems! Yes it burns and stinks lol, but I don't really mind cuz it's working! I'm running low and am so so sad that my order won't come in time, so unfortunately I will have to skip a couple of days... *sigh*

I use alpha lipoic acid in conjugation with retinol/retinal, but never with high percentages of aha/bha. It performs especially well when paired with Osmosis Renew 4, Allies Of Skin 1A Retinal + Peptides Overnight Mask or a 1% retinol such as the DE A-Passioni, Lancer Advanced Retinol, SkinMedica Retinol Complex, and Sunday Riley A +. I've read that it can help with absorption and penetration. I should also mention that I have a well tempered, hardy skin. With that said, I only use one small droplet warmed between my hands vs. the two to three suggested.

This is vitamin C but on steroids. Pimples and blemishes die quickly. Your alpha lipoic acid has a slightly yellow/brown tint right?

You can use it alone if you want and use it after the HA if you need more hydration : )
Does anyone know why its not in the ordinary store anymore?
I noticed the same thing when I googled it. It is no longer showing up on Deciem's website. Are they discontinuing it or changing its formula? I want to try it but if they are discontinuing it then I don't to.

I am happy to say that I've hung on to my last bottle before they discontinued it. It's about 4 years old, always kept in a dark place, still clear on the dropper, and tingles/slightly stings when applied as it did when new. Hence I'll keep using it.

Hello there i need to ask you I have lots of discoloration on neck can I apply on my neck if so should I apply moisturizer first before applying the Alpha Lipoic Acid please help?
It can be applied to the neck before or after your moisturizer. Personally I would apply it before unless your skin is very sensitive. You will need to use SPF during the day.

Is this a really pale yellow colour? I have had my alpha lipoic acid since Jan but only just opened it today & its pale yellow colour & am worried its gone bad. 😳
