I honestly feel this whole show is one of the greatest live performances ever captured. Their guitars sound incredible, and Dave's vocals are in absolute top form. Many emotions brought out by this, all of which I lovingly embrace. Thanks fellas.

I wonder if Dave and Tim are referring to just one bad note hit throughout the lead that Tim plays, as a listener you wouldn't hear it but they would have rehearsed and played this many times. Tim acknowledging the mistake and Dave giving Tim respect for playing just one bad note throughout the piece
I'm almost positive he says "asshole" he opens to make an ahh sound, there is no tongue to front teeth for the "thank you" obviously cause the song was winding down then Tim started up again. But I'm sure it was a playful and loving buddy sort of way.

Dave wasn't saying "thank you". he's still playing the same 2 chord progressions that he was playing the solo part. What he is saying is "That's new", which is both hilarious and accurate for a Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds concert because a lot of the stuff Tim does is being made up on the spot. Dave was commenting on how Tim had never done that before.
Give me Tim Reynolds or Tommy Emmanuel on an acoustic anytime, nobody does it better. I'd be willing to watch those two for hours to try and decide who is better but ultimately it doesn't matter!!
