- This the last video before we throw this front axle under the Samurai! Can't wait to see how it sits, and what size tires we will be able to fit underneath. If you've ever gone down a steep grade offroad, you know thoughts of wishing you replaced your brakes sooner start going through your head. Without the dust shields on to protect the rotors, we may go through some faster, but a good walk-around prior to any driving should keep us on top of it.

Just watched every video and subscribed amazing content I’m surprised you don’t have a million followers definitely looking forward to more suburban content maybe some Sami vs burb comparison videos as you got the longest wheelbase and the shortest wheelbase off roading has to offer
Thanks dude! Hopefully the videos are getting better as they come out! Yeah, the suburban has been on the sideline lately as we try to get the Samurai ready for the summer. The next trip we have planned will be my wife driving. Once she's confortable we can wheel both trucks at the same time!

Im from spain and i have a the same version of Samurai like yours. Here is impossible to find a new front brake caliper that i need. Do you know where can i find one? Because european samurais are a little bit differents. Tranks
You might try Low Range Offroad or Roadless gear. Both are US based so it would be expensive shipping, I'm sure.

quick question, does the sj410 have axles that are more narrow compared to the sj413s? cause my samurai has thinner flares and they are pretty much flush with my wheels, and im thinking of making it wider with spacers. but if the 413s are wider id swap for those before i use spacers.

Where did you get your new brake calipers from? Where did you get new bolts for your kingpins?
The brake calipers are the same ones that were on the axle, I just cleaned them and threw some paint on them. In Part 8 I included some links to the parts I used. They were in the knuckle/hub hardware kit from LowRangeOffRoad. 👍🏻
Did you get new leafs or just paint them?
In this video they're just painted with new bushings 🤙🏻
Can I ask what is the reason for removing the dust shields ?
I've gotten rocks stuck in them before.

I used the kit from LROR that has all of the pieces. Essentially you need to do what I did in this build. Cut the perches off, weld new ones on the top and get extensions for shocks, driveline, and brake lines. About 5" of lift. 🤙🏻
