You did the description of Ugandan food justice. Good job. I am definitely showing your video to my friend in the US who have been struggling to understand what Matooke and Posho are. Thank you.
I mean we mostly eat root foods and grains of some sort which most tend to be vegetarian or even 100% vegan. Y'all would survive there. Rice, cassava, yams, bananas, sweet potatoes, irish potatoes, millet, posho(is made from corn flour), beans, gnut sauce, peas, ntula(dunno what it is called in English but it'd like a small white, round, eggplant, almost as small as a Dunkin donut munchkin or smaller), yam leaves though I never tried them they say they're amazing. You have so many veg options
Hi I am from Uganda and I was watching your video on hashtags ..yeah in 2020 and you literally got a call telling you you would be in African for 5 months and I knew you would visit Uganda. hehe so here i am..am so blown away. This is so nice
me too. And a BIG THANK YOU for all this content for creatives. Am a few years late but that just means I can learn from you everyday. Thank you again. Hope you enjoyed your stay here?
Cool video... Ugandan food is so nice and fresh that I had so much trouble adjusting when I went abroad. However some correction on that temperature I don't know which thermometer you used coz even desert wheather rarely reaches 40°c late alone tropics. Ugandas hottest day would be 30°c I know coz av lived there all ma life. Nice video though hope you loved the yams. There ma favorite
All of the food is fire over there. Matoke especially. Being Caribbean, i love that i can go almost anywhere in that continent and Plantain are the staple. The Matoke she showed is called fufu, mangu or mofongo in the caribbean, but each made slightly different. Same concept though.
this is a really cool video. african food is hardly explored on the interwebs, also love that you're vegan. my family of vegheads is looking for places in Africa to visit and this helps!
I had no idea that Indian food is popular in Uganda - that's so cool! The matoke reminds me of empanadas de verde in Ecuador, which are amaaazing so I definitely need to try it.
I bet you only been in one place of you Uganda I lived all over it I’ve sent years this AFRICA!!!!! Culture for it to be compared to India food You Disrespect people
Is because there many Indians in Uganda. And also Chinese, that’s why Chinese food is also popular in Uganda. But for me, nothing can compare the taste of paw paw, pineapples, mangos, avocado, pork, fish, etc from Uganda
