  • "Kenobi: Trials Of The Master" is a feature-length fan retelling of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. It uses the footage from the Series with other films in the franchise, and utilizes VFX, editing and new footage to create a completely new take on the story. It is intended to entertain and inspire the fan base, as well as to educate the upcoming artists on the possibilities of modern filmmaking.
This is not intended to interfere, or belittle, or replace the original series in any way. That's not even possible, and that was never my intention. And if it was even possible, I would never want it. This is my personal take on the story, and my ultimate love letter to the Star Wars universe.
This whole educational project wouldn't be possible without the artists and the entire creative team that made the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, so go and watch it on Disney+.
-On of the major VFX feats will be bringing the look of the Grand Inquisitor closer in line with the Rebels show and the general look of his species in ROTS.
By the voting of the majority of faneditors on Reddit, V1 or a slight blend between V1 & V2 will be used in the final edit.
    DISCLAIMER:
This is a non-profit, transformative fan project. It was made as an experiment in VFX and editing, and will feature multiple breakdowns and tutorials with the goal of promoting creative thinking and filmmaking technology. I respect the original creators of the series and the series overall. Without it, this edit and, all the other fan-art wouldn't be possible.
This is not intended to fix, or belittle, or replace the original series in any way, but is supposed to be viewed as an alternative approach to the same story. Neither this project nor I are affiliated with Disney/Lucasfilm in any way!
    PLEASE NOTE:
Because this project is based on the protected IP and I'm doing it purely for fun in my free time, I am NOT taking any donations for it, neither am I receiving any benefits.

In the words of Mark Hammill: "Disney doesn't care about quality only what makes money."
The ones who are invested in the show are the directors. And I'm sure someone must have seen this and been like "were stretching his face in post right?" And then someone at Disney who never saw rebels or ep3 said "it's good enough".

I think if it the prosthetic had at least looked like the second version here most fans would have given it a pass. Its the fact that the one we got in the show was just so badly done and so lame looking. It loos worse than fan films I've seen.

@@PixelJoker95 prosthetics are better than CGI. Practical effects are what made Star Wars originally, aside from the obvious. (Lasers, lightsabers, etc) even the ships they used were real miniature models. And it looked good. They're trying to return the franchise's roots with practical effects, which I'm loving. However they should definitely fix/improve prosthetics that look straight up bad, like GI and Cad Bane

Nice; you watch these 'Behind The Scenes' documentaries about Lord of the Rings and the original Star Wars trilogy, and they show how Jackson and Lucas would never compromise and used to push and push their art departments to come up with better and better designs until they'd perfected even the most peripheral characters' looks... and then you watch Kenobi and Book of Fett and it looks like they've gone the first design they saw and said "That'll do". I expect better from Star Wars - even the TV shows; the GI looked like a supporting character out of Buck Rogers...
