Thank you very much for trying our game. It's an honor! Our translation work is not very good, we will continue to work hard. We have also made an update plan for the game in the next two years to make the game more fun.
Glad I gave it a chance! After I figured out what to do, it was a lot of fun!
Very cool game. Any Mac support is planned?
im buying this game right now
Looks pretty awesome, definitely will check it out closer. Keep up the great work!
@maling1577 this game looks SO good, once the translation get a bit better and a more understandable UI, I will 100 percent be getting this game.
it looks like RUNNING WITH RIFLES made love with enlisted
was just about to say this
I forgot about running with rifles. Might have to see if it holds up (I hope it does)
Running with rifles METIONED? Also running with rifles 2 is confirmed
No, full on running with rifles. It does have some features enlisted has but they are also in RWRs
@@Trve_Kvlt yes dude it does, game's always a blast.
And a sequel was announced recently
"if it isn't called the flak 88 i'm going to be dissappointed" ,,,, now i'm wondering if i have the heart to tell him that not only was it called the Flak 36 / 37 depending on the ausfuhring ... the germans never revered to it as 88 ,,, they used centimeters so it would be 8.8
What the hell is a centipede-er? Asking for a friend from America
sry to burst your bubble, but in barrel calibers it is refered to as in mm (The gun was universally known as the Acht-acht ("eight-eight") by the Germans and the "eighty-eight" by the Allies) tho in german 88 is achtundachtzig so it would be easier and faster just to say Acht-acht..
@@wiccanen I appreciate your reply but you are mistaking something here.
they said acht-acht ,, because they called it the acht punkt acht in general (eight point eight) and dropped the punkt for breavithy.
see also why they called their lefh Zehn funf ,,, 10 5 ,,, which was a 10.5cm bore.
Germans knew what a millimeter was dude. They used them all the time. 8.8 was just easier and faster to say. For instance, the Tiger guns are all refered to as 88, (by the Germans) and it is rare for their 37 or 75mm guns to be spoken as centimeters.
@@Schyzofrenic87 no, actually the 10,5cm lefh 18 was so common. they just said "Haubitze" (howitzer).
Oh it's a more arcadey Running with Rifles clone!
Also, defensive grenades do exist - it's what heavier, more frag-heavy grenades used to be called, because they were designed to be used from cover so your cover protects you against the increased frag.
it reminds me more of those flash games where you controlled a tank top down and you had other ally tanks pushing with you
@@braincell4536 Endless war?
@PJthePJ now thats a classic game series.
Defensive grenades do exist. It's basically RGD-33 with metal fragmentation sleeve attached. The premise is that, during defense operation, you're supposed to attach the metal fragmentation sleeve and throw the grenade before ducking under the trench before it explodes. An RGD-33 without metal fragmentation sleeve has a lethal radius of about 5m. With metal fragmentation sleeve, it's boosted to up to 100m. That's why it's considered as dual use grenade (offensive and defensive). The small blast radius when without sleeve is more suited for offensive operation while the much larger radius with sleeve is more suited for defending
I hate to break it to you, but you switch from sure lethal range to possible lethal range. Sure, shrapnel can snag your jugular at 100 meters with the extra coat. But that's incredibly unlikely, while the grenade is a garunteed kill at 5 meters.
2:30 there are offensive and defensive granades, the difference is the fuse time and explosive filler amount.
and presence of/increased amount of shrapnell coating.
You do realize that there are such things as attack and defense grenades, have been since WWI. Defense grenades have a larger charge because you don't need to throw them as far, you're clearing the area in front of the trench.
@@Gustav_Kuriga The difference between offensive grenades and defensive grenades is that offensive ones kill with concussion and defensive ones kill with shrapnel. Of course both grenades throw around a lot of shrapnel from a mighty concussive explosion, but the idea from the all-knowing, almighty ordnance boards the world over was that shrapnel can cut down men in the field better than it can clear a room/bunker/trench/foxhole etc etc and a concussion is better at clearing those enclosed spaces than it is for killing men in the open.
You can see this difference with the American Mk2 fragmentation grenade vs the Mk3 concussion grenade, or with the German M24 stielhandgranate vs the M39 eierhandgranate. The Germans also experimented with fragmentation sleeves that could be fit around the charge of the M24 in the field but I'm not sure if those were ever used.
@@augustdenger8231 You do realize that's not mutually exclusive with what I said?
@@Gustav_Kuriga I forgot to mention the explosive charge on the Mk2 fragmentation grenade varied throughout the war between 50-60 grams while the M24 stielhandgranate was 170 grams. I wrote out my whole comment and left out the most important part lmao. The Mk3a1 concussion grenade had 200 grams of explosive filler and the M39 eierhandgranate had 112g of filler. Defensive grenades have smaller charges across the board, the shrapnel makes up for it. Offensive grenades need more explosive filler to generate a larger concussive blast.
@augustdenger8231 you're using the rarer Eihandgranaten but forgetting the M43 Steilhandgranaten, the fragmentation potato masher
@@augustdenger8231 That isn't a difference between offensive/defensive, and just a difference between completely different grenade designs altogether.

‘Always be aware of your fields of fire everybody’
*reverses and knocks a tree over almost crushing the infantry
it seems to be ai-translated, but it is done reasonably well
the original chinese leaks out at places like "chariot", which i assume is a translation of "战车" which is a general term for an afv in modern mandarin but also can mean ancient horse-drawn chariots
It's probably inspected and manually corrected after ai translation, at least it's not just shove everything in MTL
I wonder if the Chinese military discovered the concept of tanks from French attaches or documentation, because we too use the same word for ancient chariots and tanks.
@@lassassindu5071 lmfao, ancient Chinese has been using this word 2 3000 years ago ever since qin Dynasty, surely we found it from a french document 4000 years old right?
@@Simon-tr9hv What i'm wondering is if the idea that a big self-propelled metal box on treads with a mounted cannon is fundamentally the same concept as a Bronze age war chariot because they both are assault vehicles was coined independently by both Chinese and French military or if the Chinese military just translated the French word "char" into "战车".
@@lassassindu5071 I told you the word 战车 was used thousands and thousands years ago, back when the first horse dragged "chariot" was first invented, stop trying be a clown
Thanks for the review! I've put this game on my wishlist now.
This looks like fun! Thanks for introducing this game to me.
"Return to Battlefield in..." is a great way of telling me the devs are not reincarnations of Rommel without telling me they are not reincarnations of Rommel.
4:30 less detailed tanks.
NO. That’s the beauty of them, there’s a hundred variations of the Panzer 3 alone. Only the details would distinguish one from another.
Reminds me of the underrated game Men of War. With mods that game became my favorite for a while.
It is actually a very well known and loved game, wdym
the shell velocity reminds me of indirect fire mode on the SU-76 in Company of Heroes 2
PAK 88: PAK stands for Panzer Abweh Kannone. Which means Anti Tank Cannon. And yes it was originaly desined to be an anti air gun.
And Flak stands for Flugabwehrkanone, literally translated into Air Defence Cannon.
In the USSR and later Russia it isn't called "The Patriotic War", it's called "The Great Fatherland War" (Vyelikaya Ottechyestvennaya Voyna)
Reminds me of Heroes Soldiers of WW2 or the fallow up the Man at War series!
I love those games!
Noticed a lot of good chinnese game lately.
This game is more detailed than it should be
The guy put some real effort
First of all, knowing the habit of English of harshly domesticating words coming from Russian, one wouldn't be surprised with the result. Yet, it's still being ctrl+c/v as «the great patriotic war». Albeit I would interpret it as «The great all-fatherland war», meaning it consumed all the resources of the fatherland.
I was confused when you said you knew a little mandarin but then I remembered you where an actual tank commander
Can you be infantry too?? Looks good
looks very promising, I hope it gets co-op multiplayer some day
Reloading a tank in real life is also very difficult, so the fact that WT does not allow you to reaload a different shell is actually realistic.
idk about you but it was just fine when I did it IRL so...
@@PanzerPaw Ok. Which WW2 tank was it and how long it take to the shell out safely and replace it?
Can you provide a source on which tanks were "difficult to reload"
@@PanzerPaw Ah, answering a question with another question, I see what you did there.
Yeah dude tanks are designed to be easy to reload. The shell size is really the only factor that plays into difficulty. And this is countered by crew skill. And everyone knows you can't magically shape shift the shell you're loading and you have to restart if you want to switch types.
You should see Firefight by Sean O'Connor! Very fun rts
in warthunder sort of makes sense that you have to empty the chamber to switch shells? its not like you can pop the breach open and fish the round out. its not realistic, but so is schrodinger's ready rack. you don't know what shells are in the rack until you load them in the breach.
Plus they may have purposefully avoided the switching out of shells because it already exists in world of tanks and they didn't want to be accused of copying it. we may never know, or maybe the old players do and I don't.
To be clear, you can absolutely open the breech and unload the gun. It's one of the little things in war thunder that annoys me
@@PanzerPaw If your tank still using brass or steel case ammo, you probably can do it, but it's not recommended because of something called case separation. Thanks to their semi-combustible casings, modern tank ammunition(like the 120×570 mm) has a higher chance of suffering from this phenomena. Case separation means the projectile part separates from the propellant's case. The problem with that is that the propellant charge is not a solid single piece of explosive materiel, but it's made out of grains, similar to traditional smokeless gunpowder. You don't want tiny pieces of explosive material where they don't belong, like inside the closed fighting compartment of your tank.
Not true actually. Only possible if the projectile has already detached or expanded in the breech. We actually unloaded the L44 on the Leopard 2s all the time. And it's sort of a requirement to be able to unload any gun without firing IRL.
@@bencejuhasz6459 I think PanzerPaw chilling with the constant reminders that he was a tank crewman has made someone forget
It is 100% possible to open the breach of a gun and eject the shell. And it's not a magical guessing game of "will I get HE and die or AP and kill this f*cker?" The shells are labelled and sorted, besides looking different from each other. The crew knows what they're putting in.
"As opposed to those defense grenades"
Smoke grenades?

Running With Rifles has a kid
RUNNING WITH RIFLES made love with Men Of War assault squad
Looks like Running with Rifles
Loved the video @PanzerPaw! Can't wait for the next video man! If the Devs are in Taiwan, I'd say "Sure, just go for it." but with even that in question and possibly in the People's Republic of China, I'd have to say "Proceed with Caution" because it's not just Russia keeping track of your Information.... It's China, The United States Federal Government and most everywhere else in the world.
Have you tried the New Russian Faction to BaronVonGames' Stickmen Trenches yet? Their main Specialty Tech Tree is solely focused on Spamming Infantry, and their Tanks are the French Renault FT-17 with Machine Guns (Machine Gun Tank) and Cannon (Cannon Tank), The British Mark IV Tank and their Super Tank is the Planned Tsar Tank. Infantry units are a Bit slimmer in terms of Selection as you don't have Machine Gunners leaving you with Officers, Shotgunners and Riflemen. Most of the Basic Tech Tree is Locked off leaving you with Some Armor, Gas Masks, Grenades and Mines available.
As usual, you can unlock the Available Options with Medals and Call in your Tanks with Gold and Some Medals.
The Best way that I think you might be able to use the Russians to their Fullest Potential is to Assemble a Reasonably Sized Force with All three Unit Types and then Call up some Tanks to start the Push. While the Tanks are Making their way towards the Frontlines, Call up an Artillery Barrage to get it ready for the Push as normal. As usual, Bring down the Artillery once the Tanks reach the Frontlines and Wait for the Tanks to Pass your Infantry before telling them to charge at the enemy Trench.
The Following is a Possible Organization for the Russians in Stickmen Trenches (with at least the Special Tech Tree Completed; Infantry Spam Level 4 which allows 4 Extra Troops to spawn in when you call one Unit up):
• For Every 5 Riflemen Called up, 1 Shotgunner will be Called up as well.
• For Every 3 Shotgunners Called up, 1 Officer will be Called up as well.
• Teams of 5 Riflemen.
• Squads of 25 Riflemen and 5 Shotgunners for a Total of 30 Troops.
• Platoons of 3 Squads and 5 Officer's for a Total of 95 Troops.
• Companies of at least 2 Platoons and 2 Teams of 5 Officers for a Total of at least 200 Troops.
*Note: For the Sake of Performance, Proceed to Company Level or Higher at your own Risk.*
Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man! P.S. Feel free to try the Organization out for yourself as well man!
What? Russians don't have machine guns? Why? Maybe you meant submachine guns, coz I remember what Russians used heavy Maxims and light mgs from Europe
World conqueror 4 walks in:
Defence grenade is a thing. It is a heavier and much more deadly than attack grenade. You suppose to use it from good cover.
Looks like a "Lite" version of Gates of Hell! You should try that game if you haven't already
Ain't this just stylized men of war? A lot of mechanics feel like 1:1, with a pleasing visuals.
If it runs better they're doing a great job with it.
This reminds me of the flash game endless war td but in unity engine
hold up the reloading mechanic in war thunder kind of IS realistic cause it would have took way too long to take the shell out and load a different one so crews were just instructed to fire them off then load a new one
I'd love to know where people get this idea from since you're not the first to say it. But, in my experience, our crews would never do that. Ever.
@@PanzerPaw maybe thats current but ww2 crews were as far as i know, though correct me if im wrong
for further clarification the reasoning was it took too long even with the right tools and everything, however on the frontline you'd want to quickly get the correct shells in the breech to get rid of the target so you shoot it and quickly load it instead of taking long to get it out which might cost your and your crew's lives, the way i actually found out was i was actually confused how war thunder didnt let you switch shells and i found the answer: just this
That's only true in direct combat. E.g. if there's an enemy right in front of you and is aware of you (or ready to fire). Otherwise, you'd never want to just waste a round like that. And every field manual I've seen even going back to WW2 era says the same.
Basically, there's no reason War Thunder should not allow the option to change rounds without firing. My guess is, it's an issue with game engine or some other technical limitation. (But then Enlisted, running on the same engine, managed to do it so...)
@@PanzerPaw fair enough, glad you corrected me before i said it to more people also mb for wasting your time here with this but again thanks panzerpaw
You’ve played Gates of Hell, right? CtA Gates of Hell: Ostfront and all its DLC’s are the best WW2 gaming has to offer. IMO.
You can change rounds in the middle of combat in War Thunder. You press once to select the next round, and twice to reload immediately.
Pretty sure that's how it works in world of tanks but not war thunder
In war thunder you'd have to either eject or fire the loaded round in order to swap. Not sure about PC, but to magic swap in console WOT you need a perk.
nice Video👍
I started watching this video, now i'm returning to it, did you cut out the infantry section or am i tripping?
(ps. you just mentioned the infantry mode at 3:17, i think i'm not going insane)
I did. Mainly because I do infantry stuff at the end already and the tutorial was just confusing to follow in the video

Would like you to test Aces and Armor
Yeah, for sure. Always interested in more games to try
Kinda looks like a cross between Gates of Hell Ostfront and an Army Men game.
You REALLY should try out the men of war series. Especially the og men of war. That's the first game that came to mind when I saw this. Men of war 2 is not great and men of war assault squad 2 has a port of all the mow campaigns but they don't play as good as the original imo. You should also probably start from the German or the Soviet campaign. Also don't forget about direct control mode where you can directly control (duh) every single one of the units, would it be a tank, infantry, anti tank gun, hell you can even steal a tank from the enemy.
It's really a shame that Panzer Elite Action doesn't work on Windows 10 Anymore with the 2004 features update, I bought the Gold edition for $1 and still didn't refund it in case someone fixes it.
This game is Running with Rifles without the running part xD
