I am OBSESSED with this duet & this version of the song! I love how Kelly lets others shine and doesn’t feel the need to try to outsing them. She is confident in who she is & in her vocal ability. She’s a very respectful duet partner. Love her & Teddy Swims is a great talent as well. Just fyi: KC is a huge Teddy Swims fan and wanted to sing with him when he came on her show to promote his single & album. That’s how this came about.

This is so true. She let Teddy have the entire first verse and chorus and then she let it out a little bit after that to not overshadow Teddy and his moment.
In my opinion, this is the best duet of 2023! Love them together! Their vocals are amazing and love the chemistry between them! Great reaction!!
First they barely ran through this one time. So the harmonies and the timing just talent. Kelly did know the song she's obsessed with him there are clips of behind the scenes where she says she begged him to let her sing back up. This is Teddy's album promotion and she did not want to outshine him. But she said she got excited towards the end and that's where the high notes come in but if you notice out of respect she pulls a good foot away from the mic when she hits those notes and then when she goes back to the chorus she goes back to the mic. I've been following him for years he's incredible and I'm an obsessive Kelly Clarkson fan. Is she is the most versatile talented female singer I believe in our generation. But this duet needs to be recorded and re-released

Kelly Clarkson is in her own category. What can she not do?? I’ve seen this previously and knew this was going to be good! I love how Kelly is the supporting role here. This is Teddy’s song and she complimented his voice beautifully. I would love to hear more from them together!

I enjoyed this breakdown so much. One of my favorite duets with Kelly. Teddy and her really do mesh well, vocally.
The amazing thing about this performance is that they had not rehearsed it! It was a last minute decision to sing the song. there is a video of them talking through the song as to who would sing what part, including Kellys music director, Jessi. What pros'!
