street stocks have come a long way , since my day. we had to run a bone stock engine with a two barrel carb and a factory number for the cast iron exhaust,(some guys ran the Ram Horns upside down for clearance, two door chevy,s fords, mopar were popular any thing with a full frame was used, you gutted the whole thing down to bare metal, and got a roll cage kit, which never fit right. the next move was to allow oil pans with trap doors, I guess the track owner got tired of the EPA yelling about oil all over the track, then headers were allowed, then HIE ignitions. I saw an out law street stock engine, with a four barrel aluminum open plenum intake , and it passed tech with a big Holley two barrel on a plate, 383 cubes and made 400 on a stock bottom end, although the pistons were not stock compression what ever the hell that means, heck we had points ignition and a crummy cam.
I love this video because I love racing and accidents too 😘🤩😋
Awesome!! I'm just now getting into this modernized style of Street Stock for my Sim Racing Mods!!
