Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist in the scans leads me to two theories: 1. They reanimated the Wolf Fang Fist and made it cooler 2. His Neo-Wolf Fang Fist from the Raging Blast games is making a return to this one

Also, if they are doing the early, mid and end thing again, Goku and Vegeta (from the trailer of course) would be referred to their Super versions so their transformation string would be SSJ > SSG > SSB. In Goku and Vegeta's cases, Goku would have Blue Kaioken as a power up while Vegeta would have Blue Evolved as one more transformation to his string.
Do you think when Goku and Vegeta's super attack clashed in the trailer that was a hint? You can break the dimension in the game and end up in another arena like in the broly movie or was that breaking dimension effect just for a transition in the trailer ? Also I mean it is possible they can pull that off with next gen consoles like in ratchet and clank rift apart you can move from one place to another completely different looking place seamlessly
I really hope they take the RB route with character select, the customization of moves and the condensed screen was better imo than the same character, Early, mid, end. At least make them sub categories/menus after selecting. Similar to MKX variations. I really want to see a lot of characters get new moves from the anime/manga that aren't used a lot in games, like Kid Buu getting Candy Beam or when he choked and electrocuted Vegeta.
The Tenkaichi roster wasn't cluttered because of how they organized with it not displaying the full roster at once. We are still probably getting multiple Goku's but I don't really want more than 3 adult versions, early should look a bit younger with the moveset form Saiyan saga to Frieza saga, Mid would be the rest of Z and end for super. I think believe if all the adult Goku's were on the same slot it may be abit cluttered choosing his options, Piccolo would easier to do the one character thing
One thing that I wanted in the BT3 game was that the characters from early Dragon Ball had a different approach on gameplay, as we all know that the fights were different from DBZ and beyond. The fights on the Budokai Tenkaichi stage were a little bad too imo. I think that would be a nice detail to be added now
If that's the new take on pre battle introductions, it's also similar to Burst Limit. I hope there are unique variants depending on match up, but I don't think there are. Goku & Vegeta probably would have been shown doing their iconic stances before getting right into it.

Im thinking (mainly hoping) that many characters will have variations and slots separated by their series/era/arc. In fact, if you look in the trailer, you can see that Goku and Vegeta are wearing their outfits from DBS Broly and (in Goku's case) Super Hero. Plus, it would also make sense for them to have separates because it wouldn’t make sense for pre SH Piccolo to have PA or Orange.

I dont know what you call it butnin tenkaichi if you and the opponent start a combo at the same time it alows you to clash like rhat just like in the show until somebody counters eith the last hit of the combo.. maybe that's what that is

The punch clash could be the animation that starts after two characters rush towards each other

I could go either way whether they would want to seperate certain characters into eras like in BT3 or do the customisation thing from Raging Blast.
