Volo’s eye replacement is actually one of the best buffs in the game, so I wouldn’t say it’s a bad choice. It’s far better than trusting Ethel, who doesn’t really help at all.
I'm so cautious that at times I have to humor the game to get it to progress in times when you have to make an obviously dumb mistake to continue. There was this game I played a while ago, I forget what it was, but to even begin the games events you have to use some obviously dangerous item and after trying to figure out what to do for a while, I found out that you *had* to use it.

Also in Far Cry 4 if you actually wait for the Antagonist Pagan Min for irl 15min, you unlock alt ending where he allows you to place your mother's ashes and the whole game ends. Very neat.

Yeah so funny the game lets you finish the game by just waiting for pagin min - I think the fifth game has that as well if you arrest the guy at the beginning of the game
The fifth game let's you refuse to arrest him twice, once at the beginning and once before the final fight Too bad that antagonist was the lamest out of all the Far Cry games
I love how you just jump into the hay bale and die immediately. They gave a cool Assassin's Creed reference but also roasted the game at the same time 😂😂😂
Number 10 reminded me of an old obscure RPG called "Shadow Madness", where if you use the item called "Pandora's Cauldron" you get a crazy fmv cutscene that results in the world being destroyed.
5:57 this is actually based on a real life story from 12th century. When Henry II, Count of Champagne threatened grand master of Hashashin Rashid ad-Din Sinan, that his army was stronger and he could destroy them at any time, Rashid smiled and ordered two of his subordinates to jump off of a tower and they did so without hesitation. Count was shocked, acknowledged that he may have the numbers but these were some unhinged zealots and let the Nizaris be. The main difference between this story and the game is that IRL everyone involved (including those jumpers) knew they were going to die and they did die indeed...
Gotta love the Volo one... "Careful... The needle needs to go BEHIND the eye, not THROUGH it!" - Proceeds to literally stab you right in the middle of your eye.
There's also Amid Evil; if you try to go outside the gateway building to try to explore the outside, you'll die & get the "Abysmal" achievement. I know because I did it; I also tried doing it again in the VR version of the game to see if I'd get it again, but I didn't; meaning that apparently, the VR version *doesn't* have achievements, or at least not *that* one.

That first one reminds me of Toxic Bunny, just that nothing bad happened in it, if you deplete all 5k of your first weapon's ammo, you get a complete refill, and also get ammo for all the in-game weapons that have an ammo counter, so doing so in the beginning means you have some of the best weapons from the start😅
While Volo is annoying, he actually knows what he's talking about, mostly. During my Dark Urge play thru I finally listened to him instead of skipping and ignoring, and found his words, while annoyingly delivered, were truthful and accurate. The trade of losing an eye for the see invisible trait was totally worth it.
Number 8, Dragon's Dogma 2, I failed the Riddle of Rumination (finding the first Seeker Token) and she did not leave. I was unable to get that particular chest and did not get the achievement, but I was able to complete the other riddles without issue.
