I'm the Translator behind Princess Crown, all I am doing is finishing up SamIAm's original Translation script, he did amazing work and nearly finished it, and I am also fixing some typos and issues here and there left behind by him, I am fully respecting his original work and nothing will be changed except minor typos and such. I boasted my N5 Certificate on Twitter originally because I was happy I passed it, but it does not reflect my true Japanese Language knowledge and skill level, it's higher than that. Early on, I barely did any research on the script and I rushed because eadmaster was pressuring me to get the Translation out faster due to the announcement and I sort of panicked which resulted in a sloppy early Translation for a few script files, but I eventually convinced him it needs more time to be something greater than a pile of crap and he agreed with me, so we are taking our time for a quality release, it's because I am more familiar with publishing and online criticism than he is. After some research on the project, I abandoned my sloppy attempt and realized SamIAm's original Translation is very good and that stays! 😄 I am filling in the gaps of SamIAm's unfinished Translation while maintaining what he originally envisioned and I am leaving it at that. Eadmaster also wanted SamIAm's original Translation too, so I honored that and just finishing up his amazing work, so SamIAm, if you read this, thank you! 😄
My work schedule is Saturday through Tuesday so I always start my Wednesday mornings with the weekly roundup. The theme song has become the theme song of my Wednesday mornings! Keep up the great work these are the perfect way to start my day

The translation was open source up until 0.2 so if they didn't want it forked they should have kept it closed source. I don't really get why they sore about it. They still have all of their unreleased translation upto version 0.9 and are free to keep it closed source as they have done for over 10 years now. But at least now those of us that want to play the game in English actually have the option
Their just butt hurt that someone took their work that they released to the public 10 years ago and are moving forward to complete it before they do. They feel like they are stealing their thunder. But if you take 11+ years and counting, and not release a single video or a demo of the translations, nobody can really take them seriously. If they are on their v0.9 and they released a v0.2 to the public github in 2014, that means it took them over a year for each incremental update to reach v0.9. Now that the project is finally out for the public, it could take a few months to reach a ver 1.0 patch. They could of finished this project years ago or atleast shared it to be worked on years ago, but they are so adamant about stating they don't owe anyone updates or videos or samples of the patch, well it's come back to bite them in the ass because new coders don't owe them to stop updating their own patches because the old v0.2 was released on github to be used legallly by anyone. So bahahaha.
I love how the Tink5X is still getting updates. I know this won't happen, but would love to see more downscaling features on an update. I recently scored a 36 inch JVC tube TV, and rarely use my Tink5x for scaling anymore. Would love to have better downscaling to play Xbox Series S on my JVC better at 240p/480i.
@196cupcake Halos on 360 no longer has online servers active. But for campaign if you don't mind 30fps, and lack of button remapping or control layout options, ABSOLUTELY! There are games like Gears of War 3 and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 that still have an active online community, thanks to backwards compatibility and Xbox Series enhancements. Really wish Destiny 1 on 360 still had a high population.
The Princess Crown drama is silly. I get that those guys are upset, but at the same time, when if ever was this going to get released? 10 years is a long time and I don't think another 10 years would have made a difference.
Holy Crap! That VMU Disc builder is awesome. I've been wondering how to easily transfer saves around my many many VMUs. Until the DC MemCard comes out, this app will be useful.

Remember, SNES controllers are electrically compatible with the NES. For real hardware you can make an adapter. The Y & B buttons are used (if I recall correctly the Y button takes the place of the A button, but I'm not 100%). On the Mister just plug one or more SNES controllers using a SNAC/SNAX adapter.
The original hacker and translator of princess crown didn't understand how the gpl license works and did a "mizzurna falls". I hope fan translators finally learn their lesson.
Princess Crown, those guys have been holding on to that transaltion for 10 years, and everything with the current translation release is all ok under yhe 2.0 licensee.
The Tink 5X Pro + a HDFury 4X with a nice high-end 1440p CRT monitor is just about the best combination money can buy for playing retro systems and games imo, even using it with a MiSTer or Steam Deck is awsome, either up or down scaling, adding scanlines to high-res games and video content, 1440p Dreamcast with scanlines on a LaCie Blue IV 22 is a beautiful sight to behold, upscaling DOS & Amiga games to 1440p with beautifly rendered scanlines.

Shopify almost made me file for bankruptcy before I even officially opened because they would t let me ship consoles due to batteries. Literally a save battery. I feel for Adam so much. Now I am 4 months in (4 months late too) and starting behind financially as a result. Shopify is horrible.

I might've misunderstood but the VMU Disc Builder seems to only be able to transfer save files to and not from a Dreamcast.
