  • Our final run on the lower Nolichucky River in the midst of Winter. Slightly higher levels made it a bit more fun. Another good time with friends as we progress towards....the big stuff! Join us on our journey!

    Great video, guys. As an East Tennessee native, I'm really enjoying the scenery (as well as the river experience). Thanks!

      Thank you! Although we enjoy traveling to new regions, we realize there are some incredible locations right here in Tennessee.

    Nice video and channel. That looked like a cool section of river to paddle. The water is so clear. Nice rapids. New follower here. Crow✌️

      Thank you! We realized that section of the river was just a stones throw away from most of us. We'd been traveling all over and out of state for trips. Having a resource that close for a nice run and some skill building is outstanding.

    Nice video! Do you happen to know the flow in CFS or Ft that day? Or do you know the exact date and I can look it up. Also, how long did this run take? I'm longing to paddle from Chestoa to the take out at the saw mill off Hwy 81 - any chance you've paddled that stretch? Thanks!

      Let us check and see if we have notes on the flow, at that time… I think we have an approximate from the Embreeville gauge.
      We have run part of the Chestoa down section you are mentioning.
      You may want to check out christiankayaker.com/lowernoli.htm for an idea… and,

      Ok. Looks like this one was 2.07 gauge height at Embreeville gauge, and 1400 CFS.
      If you look at the beginning of the first in the playlist, it gives them all. The summer one was the lowest. See our last comment for more reference, as well.

    Where is the River Park Campground? I don't see it on Google maps.

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  2 года назад

      It's a camp ground near Erwin Tennessee, not far down river from USA raft. Unfortunately, the owners do not allow launching from thier property unless you're a guest of the camp ground.

      It has been changed to a KOA, currently: koa.com/campgrounds/jonesborough/
