      Another great video. Do you remember what the flow rate was on the gauge?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  Год назад

      @@autigerz84 2.55 was the gauge height, I do not recall the CFS. However, we dragged a bit. I wouldn’t recommend running it any lower. Plus, there were several obstacles due to deadfall. Some channels were completely closed. Probably leftover from recent high water events.

    Great timing with this video, just got home after 4 months living on the Weeki Wachee. I'm spoiled and only plan on paddling clear water. Great Video!

      Thanks brother! We have friends that live near the Weeki. We plan on visiting that one soon. May dive a few springs while down there as well. Hope you're doing well.

    Love the video and the great documentation of it!
    I’ve floated a lot of rivers, the Current (montauk to Robert’s field), the entire Jacks, the entire North Fork of the white (hwy 76 to lake norfork), nearly all of Bryant Creek, the 11 pt (from thomasville to riverton), parts of the Spring River, buffalo, south fork of the Spring river, Gasconade, the White, Norfork, Spring Creek (near the north fork), Stouts Creek near the St Francis and the whitewater section of the St Francis. Oh, 6 miles up by the south prong of the jacks to the prongs.
    Of them all, the upper Jacks and upper Buffalo are my favorites, but it all started on the upper jacks about 30 years ago. It’s a special place!

    Beautiful editing as usual, i was heading to Kentucky about a month ago and hit a storm, well the tornados wanted my kayak more than I did I guess. But il definitely try and get another one to get into the season, I'm taking a month off if I get all my gear squared away. Thanks for sharing the awesome experience. The editing and the cameras are top notch

      We're sorry to hear about your boat!! Not sure what you paddle these days, but I can't say enough about the Dagger Stratos. Great yak! If I ever lost my Yukon, that would be my primary alternate choice. Brenda loves hers. Thanks for watching!

    I think this is where we first met you guy's and girl. We were at your starting point when you arrived. I'm the one from MN, with the little dog the wanted to check out all your gear, especially John and his empty beanie wienie can. Have been waiting for this video. Wondered how your trip went. I think Brenda said 4 days.

    Great video! Did you spend two nights and where was your take out?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you! Yes, we began at the prongs and paddled all the way to the end, at the confluence of the Jacks and the Current. We took out at Two Rivers. The most populated stretch was through Eminence. The rest is beautifully secluded.

    Where can I get a seat like your's on your kayak?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  Год назад

      Actually, that is modified using an idea we received from Pete with the River Kings and Alan from B&A adventures. It’s a hybrid from the Yukon original seat pan and a Wilderness System seat back. Check out the River Kings Channel and B&A. They both have videos on two modification options.

    Is this just a day trip paddle or is there an overnight along the way ?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  Год назад +1

      This was a multi night trip. Most of ours are. Our daily distance average is around 20 plus miles a day on most rivers.

    What section was this?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  Год назад +2

      We started near the source, all the way to the Current River. Started at the prongs. The entirety of the river is less than 50 miles.

      South Prong Access. Location depends on water levels.
