Darrin made the show funny!!! If all the characters were nice and got along there wouldn’t be a show or a storyline!! Dick York was a great Darrin after he left the show went downhill!!!
Ya know, if it was Darren's mother he'd be totally okay with having her as a guest while she was ill and Sam would gladly help to take care of her. Just sayin 🤷
I agree. As a child, I thought Endora was mean because she was always on Darrin's back; however, as an adult I felt she was right to be so mean to him because he only thought of himself and was a prick. He always said that there was no witchcraft in HIS house but often bent his own rule when it suited him. Endora often told her daughter that they were 'creatures of the wind'. Darrin claimed to love Samantha. Did he really? If he did, why was he always trying to turn her into a 'mortal housewife'? He deserved all the punishment he got from Samantha's family.
Darrin was a necessary foil. Can’t have good comedy without a straight man..(Darrin #2, Dick Sergeant, was gay in real life…but that is beside the point)
I saw the full episode on RUclips a while back, but when I went to look for it again, all I could find was this excerpt. I'm pretty sure it was on this channel, & the same high-quality video re-formatted for widescreen tv, like this. Just wondered if there was any reason that particular full episode got pulled, when many others are still available to view. It's a great series which I've seen countless times, & I enjoy watching the "new" widescreen versions whenever they turn up.
No matter how much I love this show, I get sick of darrin always being such a wet blanket even if it was the schtick. The other characters are so much more fun.
Isn't it funny how times have changed? All of now are like " Sam should have left him"! Or worse and did magic on him. Awe that would be a great show today. A single Sam using her gifts openly.
it funny how Samantha uses magic to slam the door on Darren after his comments about the warlock with 3 warts on his noise because to a witch that is insulting
He knew she was a witch even after the fact of getting married. He could have been more open about her being a witch always downing her witch craft and her family maybe if he would have been more open to it Maybe her family would have been more likely to like him but he was so closed minded of what Sam was and there Kids. His mother could never do no wrong
I know it was the times, but Samantha shouldn't have to ask Darrin's permission for her mother to stay the night in THEIR home. I grew up watching Bewitched and I never knew how unequal things were. Now, I'm glad Endora turned him into so many things LOL!!
If they ever do a revival there's going to be a arc where samatha goes "fuck it" and pisses off to somewhere her husband and family can't get to her, and after a couple cockamamy schemes they have to come to a agreement where her family stops trying to ruin her marriage and darrin trusts her judgement when it comes to using her powers
I loved it when Samantha slammed the door in his face after he made a racist comment. No, it was not funny. Little moments when she use witchcraft against him were always highlights for me.
@@Pad929 Whatever comments Darrin directed at Endora, she had It coming to her. She persecuted Darrin throughout the 8 years of the show’s run. Endora was the epitome of a wicked mother-in-law. For sure, much of the reason Samantha closed the door was to defend both her mother AND Darrin from an ensuing squabble.
Sam, "Fine. I wouldn't want do this without your permission." She pops Dr. Bombay right onto the bar stool. What a good aim. Darrin: "My wife's family doctor.' Sam: "He's just our general practitioner. You ought to se our specialists." 😀 Love it.
Why I would never understand why Darren will forbid witchcraft in the house knowing that he's married to a witch even know she could learn how not to use our powers every time she moves to you could at least let her Embrace who she is and not just that you have children that are half witches you got to let them Embrace who they are
Darrin is mistreating Endora and is acting like a tin plated dictator. I wonder how he'd react if Sam treated his mother the way he's treating Endora here. Now, having said that, Darrin may be thinking that this is my chance to get back at Endora for all of the things she's done to me.
Darrin is a bigot and a fool. He is married to a practically immortal woman with godlike magical powers, and he "forbids" her to use witchcraft and expects her to live and work like a normal mortal housewife. He is a fool to taunt Endora. Does he think that she will forgive his insults and taunting when she gets her powers back?
Reading the comments. People are forgetting that Darrin being a helpless mortal surrounded by witches..... Endora has been basically playing with him casting spells and witchcraft antics and popping in and out of the house unannounced ever since they got married. Also being very mother-in-law-ish and not even saying his name correctly all that time. He's only enjoying a brief come-uppins when she has lost her powers. One can hardly blame him!

The powers they had made them more like gods than witches.
Yes, they regularly create life - mice, monkeys, birds, etc.
The range of emotion of Lizzie's face when she pushes Darrin out the bedroom door is quite interesting. There's quite a few different things going on there.
Endora put her hand on the bottom of a HOT coffee pot. She should of screamed ouch.
Why is everyone hating on Darrin? If him and Endora got along it wouldn’t be much of a show!!! In fact that was the whole point of the show!!!
He's just such a douchebag. He's always angry. What does he actually bring to the table? I don't understand why Sam married him.
Could you please tell me what year was this show ? is 60th or end of 60th and thank you
Nice to know that the Darrin and Endora were good friends in real life.
Darrin made the show funny!!! If all the characters were nice and got along there wouldn’t be a show or a storyline!! Dick York was a great Darrin after he left the show went downhill!!!
@@aliiraqi1078 This episode originally aired on November 16, 1967.
Ya know, if it was Darren's mother he'd be totally okay with having her as a guest while she was ill and Sam would gladly help to take care of her. Just sayin 🤷
...YOU'RE FORGETTING THAT THERE WAS AN AWFUL LOT OF ANIMOSITY BETWEEN DARRIN AND ENDORA- AND THAT WAS ALMOST ENTIRELY ENDORA'S FAULT!!!
Darrin mother never turned Sam to a billygoat
Well his mother isn't a filthy witch.
No wonder Endora calls him Derwood
LOL I remember this episode as a kid, sealed my decision I couldn't stand Darin.
I have been watching this show for many years and I just realized that I can't stand him either!
I agree. He really was an a$$.
Darrin was a necessary foil. Can’t have good comedy without a straight man..(Darrin #2, Dick Sergeant, was gay in real life…but that is beside the point)
Couldn't stand him then .. detest him now.
Love this show 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!! Endora is a doll!!! 🥀🥀🥀🥀.. 2022....
Was hoping Samantha zapped him😂
"Have you been near any black Peruvian roses?" "I haven't even been near any black Peruvians!".
That's not what she said. She said haven't been near any peruvians.
Poor Sam had to put up with Darrin's snobby mother.
This absolutely my favorite episode. I love how dàrrin insults endora without her powers. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Darrin's lucky he didn't get turned into a toad.
mi serie favorita cuando estaba en la escuela
I saw the full episode on RUclips a while back, but when I went to look for it again, all I could find was this excerpt. I'm pretty sure it was on this channel, & the same high-quality video re-formatted for widescreen tv, like this. Just wondered if there was any reason that particular full episode got pulled, when many others are still available to view. It's a great series which I've seen countless times, & I enjoy watching the "new" widescreen versions whenever they turn up.
Wish these were full episodes. So frustrating when they chop off!
Loved this show as a child 🙄 i'm getting so old now smh.
The good thing is, we all are!
...WELL, NONE OF US ARE GETTING ANY YOUNGER-!!!
"...if you're not getting OLDER, it means that you're DEAD!!"
I'm so old I had to Google smh. 🤣
That was awesome
Darrin was being salty today... 😆
Way to go Sam, making the door slam in Darrin's face.
He deserved it.
No matter how much I love this show, I get sick of darrin always being such a wet blanket even if it was the schtick. The other characters are so much more fun.
This is Hollywood not real life ok. Chill-
I love love Dr.Bombay !!! And endora without her powers ; Darren was in Heaven !!!
@@rma3_3_3 Wut are you talking about, tool?
Black Peruvian Roses! LOL 😁
If I had to ask my husband's permission if my mother could spend the night at my house I drop him to a hotel permanently
Her mother had done a lot of horrible things to Darrin. She was a trouble-maker!
😄😂🤣mrs. kravitz..... 😝
Darrin is a pain in the rear and very few people like his character; but you have to admit it. He had the ORIGINAL Don Draper hair!
😂😂😂
He was funny, the original Jim Carey with his facial expressions
Where is the rest of this? please.
CLASSIC LINES: E.M: Darrin insists you spend the night!
Endora:: I'LL BET!
He was tricked!!! He didn't know she was a witch before getting married! Considering marriage is for life, I can understand his frustration!!!
I know it was the times, but Samantha shouldn't have to ask Darrin's permission for her mother to stay the night in THEIR home. I grew up watching Bewitched and I never knew how unequal things were. Now, I'm glad Endora turned him into so many things LOL!!
If i were Sam, i'd tell Darrin to take one step forward and then slam the door. 😀
Does anyone know what season and episode this is?.
I love u sam and endora
Where can one see the full episode???
If they ever do a revival there's going to be a arc where samatha goes "fuck it" and pisses off to somewhere her husband and family can't get to her, and after a couple cockamamy schemes they have to come to a agreement where her family stops trying to ruin her marriage and darrin trusts her judgement when it comes to using her powers
I loved it when Samantha slammed the door in his face after he made a racist comment. No, it was not funny. Little moments when she use witchcraft against him were always highlights for me.
“RACIST’? 😀😂😂🤣🤣🤣😅😁
@@richparsons4205 Species-ist? 😅 Anyway, it was a slur and Samantha wasn't having it! ✌️
@@richparsons4205 you do realize that the premise of this show was about racism/discrimination and closeted gays living in secret?
@@richparsons4205 IKR? So woke.
Uh.. I was just beginning to get immersed....and it stopped...everything costs extra nowadays. 😒
*ABNUH!*
What happened to rest of show.
Hello Julie, How are you doing?
Sam, "Fine. I wouldn't want do this without your permission." She pops Dr. Bombay right onto the bar stool. What a good aim.
Darrin: "My wife's family doctor.'
Sam: "He's just our general practitioner. You ought to se our specialists." 😀
Love it.
Have to ask her husband permission for her sick mother to stay a night. Wow

At 2:15, I recently had a dream that I actually did have powers and I made several things float over and come
to me!
