Bruno Mars, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” TEN YEARS LATER - A POP ICON’S FIRST!!!!!

DISCLAIMER: I want to quickly apologize for the fact that I sound hoarse in this video. I was playing Among Us with a few friends prior to recording this, and I guess I got a little too hyped up during the game.
For my 23rd episode of “TEN YEARS LATER,” I’m gonna be taking a look at the 2010 Bruno Mars album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” We know Bruno Mars at this point, he’s been far and away one of the biggest stars in pop music today, and this was his debut studio album. Just before this record’s release, Bruno had been buzzing thanks to some major singles like “Nothin’ On You” with B.o.B. and “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy. These were huge features, and set the tone for Bruno when he released the first few big singles from this album, a number of which even peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. I previously reviewed this album on my blog back in 2018, and despite it not being Bruno’s best work (I mean, how many popular artists will tell you their debut project is their best?), I did enjoy the record quite a bit. Do my thoughts still hold a few years later? Sure do!
Favorite tracks: Grenade, Just The Way You Are, Our First Time, Marry You, Talking To The Moon, Count on Me
Least favorite tracks: Runaway Baby (if I had to pick one)
Rating: Good
