Damn I love Morgan's voice, her style, her choice of music, every damn thing about this lady is wonderful and just too bloody rare in the world these days.
She brings life back to the dull, boring, over-produced crap the Music Industry has been dishing out for the past couple of decades.
Oh, and the band is on the money as well
Come back to Australia for a solo tour, Morgan... Please!
Mike Lazarus that is not Morgan
@@vondajones2665 who is it then?
@@vondajones2665 It absolutely IS Morgan!
I tear up every time I hear her sing "Dream On". Steven Tyler and Aerosmith should fall to the ground and plead, "We're not worthy", whenever they see and hear her sing, they're song. Matter of fact, Aerosmith should stop performing Dream On, it's not their song anymore, it is now Morgan's song.
After hearing Ms. James sing for the first time, I'm wondering why I haven't heard of her before. Stumbled upon her on You Tube and was immediately gobsmacked. Right from the start, her strength and training was apparent. This is a real pro. Blessed with a beautiful STRONG voice but she made the effort to master the art of singing. Using tone, timbre, and volume as pieces of her own orchestra, she shows what is to be a true performer. I am perplexed and ashamed that I know of or heard about pop singers like Katy Perry et. al. when true artists are going without the deserving recognition. Why isn't
Morgan James doing halftime at the Super bowl? Or topping the charts instead of the insipid bubbleheads backed by garage band level talent? All this gal needs is a good agent and a great promoter and she will soar. An amazing talent indeed. The "living room" sessions are the best. ps. Haley R. ain't bad either. Up and coming. Thanks for posting this songstress.
I think it is all timing and building a following. And of course, a little Julliard training is helpful, as well as experience in musical theatre.
Agree with everything you just said, however I think an awesome singer, even one as mightily talented as Morgan can go so far in the ranks of Superstardom doing covers.
Linda Ronstadt sang all covers.
The problem is that Ms James and her backup musicians are fantastic, but they perform in styles that were popular 50 years ago. They just don't appeal to the smartphone generation. Ms James has a devoted following (including me), but she won't ever appeal to a mass audience. Sad, but true.
Ms James knows how to sing. I’m sure she will know how to make a show.
Love her!
Excellent! Vocals, band, and arrangement -- all top notch! Wow!
Why did no one stop this woman? Nothing remains of my playlist except her....
Well Now I can die happy. I have heard my favorite song preformed by my favorite singer.
Morgan and the band created this super funky blues.
Morgan can do anything she sets her mind to
Morgan awesome as usual, but I got to say the band is sounding exceptionally ... tight on this one. Props to Roy for playing piano and organ at the same time.
As a bass wannabe, I love Jeff Hanley's bass playing. It's always just right for the occasion.
Yes and I must Doug has got to be one of the best guitarists that has ever lived.
C'mon now! Girl can saaaaang.but look at the brutha man on the bass locking that groove down. Silky smooth.
Jeff Hanley always gets the job done. I heard them live, and Jeff kept up a motown groove that was just right for the set.
Doug Wamble is such a great accompanist.
so many covers of this song out there........as usual, Morgan's is excellent, soulful and funky
Morgan , Morgan , Morgan !! WOW
I have loved this song since I heard it on "The Commitments" sound track. Thanks for the great arrangement. And thanks for working it into your tour playlists.
*_Perfect funky sound Morgan, love it._*
Beautyful!
Still just love that bass start and stop! ....and everything else in between, of course. :-)
Oh, it was divine, beautiful, great, gorgeous! With love from Russia. We are waiting for concerts in our great country!
found Can't StandThe Rain first, instant favorite - today rejoice! Morgan sang it for us!!
had to listen to this on the big stereo speakers. oh yes! you need to hook up with Joe Bonamassa blues guy. can't wait to see you guys pair up. I'll pay to see that. keep on doing what you do your awesome
Absolutely fabulous, darling.
Bought a few of her albums (MP3 versions). Also like the version of "Human" that she does. She led me to the PostModern Jukebox, and then to Haley Reinhart. Treasures everyone of them - and Morgan James is the crown jewel, IMHO.
I'll just add that this is one of my favourite covers by Ms. James. I wonder what her version of "At Last" would be like?
p.s. I'll watch the ads all the way through to help benefit the cause.
Great version! This gall's got somekinda voice and delivers great soul! Doesn't hurt that she's a real stunner to look at, too.
When the bass comes in and your drummer got that stank face, you know the jam is gonna be tight.
first time I was able to give something thumbs up before even listening to it because I knew it would be fantastic!
Sweet soul singer and great backing band! Saw them in Ann Arbor 2 weeks ago and they played this cover...BLEW the roof off the place! Thanks for sharing the video.
Da Best! True Blues.
Morgan did it again...absolutely wonderful!
Superb voice and great sounds from the band! Third time I listen to this piece in a month. Thanks.
As usual, an excellent cover by Miss Morgan ... Tina Turners' is excellent too .... BUT ... I will always think of Lowell George/Thanks I'll Eat It Here ... when I hear the rain ... on my window ... Thanks Morgan for covering this song ... please consider covering some of Little Feats' music ... Great Music ... Lots of Good Memories ...
Morgan, you did it again! Now I have YET ANOTHER song done by you that I'll listen to over and over and yet over again. I SO miss this type of music. Thanks Morgan, Doug, Jeff, Mark and Roy for bringing it back and doing it so very good!
Нереальный голос... Она - Совершенство. Музыканты - Золото
Goodness gracious, Morgan, that was... AMAZING! You should be filling up arenas!
I love this version better than the original.
If I have a bad day and I can’t even crack a smile, all I have to do is play some Morgan James and it’s all better! Love your music girl! Oh, BTW, Reckless Abandon is the bomb diggity! :)
Reckless Abandon is one of my favorites by her. And with her doing all the vocals in this song, in the whole album in fact, makes it that much more enjoyable. ❤💕
Maaaan your Awesome, love your vocal arrangements.. Berb
super great voice, top band, i rly like this cover - plz, come to Europe
Thank you Morgan for this song. It was popular when a was young :)) especially thanks for "sledgehammer", dangerous woman" and "alive". Try something from 60-70th rock - maybe Cream or Creedence Clearwater Revival ???
Awesome! Saw her in Milwaukee. If you've just discovered Morgan James, don't miss her tour stop near you.
Yes, she is really great!
Fantastic voice and great sound from the band.
Girl !!!!! U have a voice of a angel 😇!!!!
Love it! Thanks for posting it! To you other Morgan James fans, I don't know if you've heard her Shut Up and Dance cover, but that is my favorite. I don't know why it doesn't have more views. Since it is partly acapella, you can really hear the tone of her voice.
Morgan James amazing.....respect !!!!!!
Yeah yesssssssss top bravo messieurs les musiciens et respect pour cette délicieuse voix
Great voice and Song !!!❤️
Yet another fantastic, soulful, well arranged, chill bump raising cover! Superb.
I've been sitting up all night (6am now) just jammin' on MJ vids (and ordering MJ music on Amazon).
Seeing as how you smash covers in your awesome way, I'd love to see your renditions of:
"Woman in Chains", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and/or "Head Over Heels/Broken" by Tears for Fears...
"I Can't Make You Love Me", and/or "Love Me Like a Man" by Bonnie Raitt...
"Get Here" by Oleta Adams...
"Call and Answer", "Break Your Heart", and/or "What a Good Boy" by Barenaked Ladies...
"Try a Little Tenderness", "Nobody Knows You" by Otis Redding...
"Take Me to the River", "Tired of Being Alone", "Here I Am" by Al Green...
"Sexual Healing", "Mercy Mercy Me", and/or "Inner City Blues" by Marvin Gaye...
"Moving the River", or "Bonny" by Prefab Sprout...
"So Far Away", "The Reason", and/or "It's Too Late" by Carole King...
or how about "Stand By Your Man" by Tammy Wynette(?)
and of course, "Mustang Sally" by Mack Rice (and made famous by Wilson Pickett)
I could go on an on and on - knowing that you'll nail any of these you do - and I'd sure like to hear your version of any/all of them. :-) Along with Doug, of course!
Keep up the amazing work! And I hope to see your show in Atlanta (wish you were coming to Charlotte but willing to drive 4hrs to see your show if the wife and I can work it out!)
Класс! Побольше бы такого формата!
Great job, as always! Loved the show in Chicago last week, too.
Best cover of this song and brilliant in its own right.👍🌟
Awesome as usual guys! Love your slide work on the guitar, Doug (aside from loving Morgan's voice, but that goes without saying!). Jeff 's bass intro was great too!
This is really AWESOME! Thank you for sharing this with us.
why do some people get it all - the looks, the talent... ? Morgan - you are the full package xoxo
On the road in the middle of an amazing tour and still have time to post one of your covers. #RecklessAbandon #udabomb
I can hear the soul in your voice....yes, maam!
This is just money, right here. Thank you.
Really liking this. Way to go. Maybe one day you make a trip to Chicago

As always, class act, very entertaining
Incredible
Love it! great band and superb vocals.
Very nice! Soulful.
Your live performances are so much better than when some producers adding pop/electronic to your sound! Please do live recordings!
I hope Tom Petty had a chance to hear her before he died. Ann was one of his favorite artists . And this is one of his favorite songs. RIP dear Tom
So bummed I missed that show!
Обожаю.потрясающе

Really good, getting a Susan Tedechi vibe here!
GREAT VOCALS...
omg the solo
Very nice Morgan! I would love to hear some nice Police songs performed by you.
Every breath you take, Roxanne or "so lonely" would suite you well. Please.......:P
Ron Beuningen she's done Roxanne already
Neater than a mosquito's tweeter
love her...
properly recorded and produced
Damn get this on I tunes so I can buy it now
Super!
she is like Elvis, when she covers a song she makes it hers!
All of you posers and wannabe's of today watch and learn what pure class and talent is!! Not only does she sings like a million times better than a vast majority of all singers there is today. She lets her voice to the job and doesn't need to shake her ass and flash her boobs to get attention. I believe we can call it dignity!
She's an indie vocalist, doesn't take orders from a corporate label. No auto tune.
@@lesbsocal9107 I've heard/read she belonged to a major label in the beginning of her career. She wasn't comfortable belonging to bigger company which might hold back your creativity. Along with her husband she has her own label and is free to do what she wants. I know it's the worst kind of cliché but when you follow your heart things usually works out in the end.
@@danielolson5378 Right. I'm a patron of hers and she shares a lot of her history with her patreon group. She even shared some pop style songs from her "vault" that she was coerced to make during her label period.
And her fans liked the songs anyway, because despite everything else, it's Morgan, and she has the touch of gold
I thought Tina Turner closed the door on this one but .......
The last 5 seconds
Changes everything
❤
Это здорово!
My only doubt: who are the 9 people who doesn´t like it? Jealous guys, that´s the one possibility!
Oh,, they are jerks...
