So far, it looks pretty cool. I’m looking forward to seeing you do a wheelie on it….😉
LOL! You wanna kill the E Latina!? No worries I will show someone on my team doing a wheelie on it!
I sold my car and ordered my Ariel Rider Kepler ebike last weekend. I work FT from home, and do not need a vehicle right now. My parents are against it. They believe a car is more essential. The up front cost is kind of expensive, but it is less expensive than own a vehicle over time. It should be arriving this Friday. I’m very excited. ❤
That is awesome Lanae! You ordered the bike that you had talked about earlier. That is so cool that you expect it by Friday! I hope you that it integrates well into your lifestyle!
Please be sure that you share your impressions on it once you have gotten it together and had a chance to become accustomed to it.
Seriously, you think an ebike is a good substitute for a car?
@@user-wn6hh4dy8cDefinitely 😅
Psychic Trout, I thought that you were banned from this channel?
Cars require a lot of upkeep and expense that fall outside people’s means.
I’m sure Lanae has thought this through and is willing to see if this will suit her needs for now.
I don’t know why you would chose to be pessimistic over a decision that will not affect you. I’m personally happy that she took the plunge and followed her heart. I hope that it works out well for her!
@@user-wn6hh4dy8c For my situation, 👍 yes. I know that an an ebike cannot entirely replace a car, but I believe it is a great alternative for someone like me.
I was sure fooled by the photoshopped thumbnail photo for the video.
I thought OMG, that thing is half the size of the Nakto Pony : )
I’m glad it was just an illusion.
I like the high quality appearance of the folding Ride1Up!
I like that they kept the weight down, spec’ed it with gearing, three inch tires, and hydraulic brakes. Even the color is very pretty!
It looks like a high quality build at a low price that would be handy to throw in the trunk to transport into town. Unload at an easy to find parking spot to run around and do your errands on in the intercity and then bring back to your car later. A nice compact city commuter that doesn’t skimp on power or creature comforts!
Hi Robot! Haha! I would not be able to ride this bike if it were smaller than the Pony! It’s small, but right on the cutoff to barely fit me, it’s a good compromise to how small it folds and to be able to fit it anywhere. And yes! The whole package is so nice! This one is a keeper too! Perfect for its purpose! Well said Robot like always you’re great with words! My mom thinks you’re a poet haha!
@electrifiedlatina6871
Your Mom is very sweet to say that! A poet that runs a weed eater all day : )
Lightweight bikes are my favourite , we need a higher rise bar but thats so easy to swap ourselves so no worries 👍
Hello! Ohhh that’s good to know! This is lightweight and high quality too! This is true that swapping bars is easy! Are you also tall?
Nice bike. Would be hard to find too many faults with it. It’s not really that tiny but Im sure it’s very nibble. The weight and 20x3 tires help for sure. Those little 20 inchers can feel squirrelly!! But in a good way.
It’s true! I haven’t found anything wrong with it other than the small battery! Yeah it just takes some time to get used to and then you enjoy them being nimble so much!
Interesting colored neat little thing! 60lbs is super light! :)
I was just horsing around on there website and they have a front rack that appears maybe universal to any front suspended bike. That is interesting, never seen that. hmm
Very cool! And since I’ll be keeping this bike- it would be very fun to buy accessories for it! Did you notice that I did remember to mention their very cool front emblem? Lol
@@electrifiedlatina6871 lol yea I did and laugh! 😂
@@rabbithomesteading3797 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice quality 👌
Yes, indeed! Appreciate you chiming in! ❤
Where's poncho? Is he an ebiker?
Haha yes! He is an e-biker. At the time of this video he was sleeping in front of me on the couch haha! Osito was the only one who had the energy to participate in the video that day. Pancho would have to had a woken him up- but then he gets too wild!
My tires are 27.5× 2.4 tires.
Good size!
My mustache ebike is only 57lbs
That’s great!
whats the "hook" think you first took out....I got that too and have no idea what its for or where to mount it.
The "squirly" bit concerns me. I want an ebike but I can't fit a convebtional one in my house, so I have to get a folding one. They ALL have *tiny* wheels that I'm not used to.
Hi! I had been riding 26”x4” e-bikes, so switching to riding a 20x3” was a big change. But, after you get used to them, I can tell you I love the Portola! It’s my favorite folding bike! It’s fast, comfortable, nimble…. I have a full review on this one, would love it if you could check it out and see what you think! 😍
@@electrifiedlatina6871 okay, that's reassuring! I've been looking at this one specifically. This one seems to be the most well thought out bike for the money.
@@MiketheNerdRanger Yay! Happy to reassure you! And you are so right, this one is so well thought out, feels premium with its hydraulic brakes, high quality components, sine wave cadence sensor that’s so well tuned it’s not jerky and reacts right away. The build is solid and it comes from a very reputable company… this one bike I will be keeping. If you pull the trigger- I would be very grateful if you can use my affiliate link. Any more questions always happy to answer! 😀
Does your have a derailer protect?
It sure does! Yours didn’t come with one? I think it’s a newer addition, same with them putting a longer seat post.
I get that you do refuse, but I can tell you don’t know nothing about bikes, especially electric bikes, we do not say amps by itself, we say, empowers in votes measure the amps from the battery, and measure the output of the charger than you calculated
In approximately nine hours of charge
Did Meatball teach you that stuff?
If you already know the voltage, saying "2 amps" tells us all we need to know. I'm a engineer who began dealing with high voltage motors and wiring since grade school, and I would have said the same thing.
..
EL, where does the electricty to charge your ebike come from? 65-70% of Colorados electrical grid comes from burning fossil fuels. Virtue signaling armchair "environmentalists" are so funny...
Psychic Trout / John Rob - You have eBikes yourself, so this is just an empty argument coming from you.
@@robotbrokenExactly! Plus he says he has many e-bikes
Still WAY better than burning gasoline and traveling by car.. thanks for feeding the algorithm like always
@@robotbrokenThis troll John Rob has his sense of humor: in my short video yesterday where Jon was riding in reverse he said that “I can’t tell the difference” lol!
Energy is energy. So lets just say that it don't matter where it comes from for a second. Then think how much energy does it take to get a minimum 2000 lbs but more likely 3000 lbs and over little car to move vs a super heavy 100lbs electric bike.
Then to throw numbers out. Not knowing the actually percentage but there is an energy loss when transforming forms of energy. (Fossil fuels converted to electric) So I would say 75% energy loss is crazy high but giving you advantage. So 4 times the energy including the loss converting to electric would be same as 4 times the weight of bike to 400lb. So what uses less energy. 2000lb car or 400lb bike. (Just throwing energy loss thing out in case you wanted to argue that.)
