This is a really nice review - thank you! I have just received a sea turquoise model like yours, and really like it! You showed some nice tips and features that not all reviewers show, and convey an enthusiasm about the bike that is pretty contagious. Thanks again for a very nice review!
Portola is a unicorn in terms of weight : top speed. It has too many gears and pedal assist modes. Ride1Up should simplify their design. Would be cool if they had some sort of bag to hold the folded bike so it doesn't have edges exposed and it would be easy to put in a car or bus.
Oh! Very interesting! Thanks for letting me know. It makes sense that they would add that on. Foldable ebikes often get put in places that get derailleurs bent (like in a trunk of a car) where people don't know that laying it on that part of the bike will inevitably bend that area and cause a problem. Hopefully that will prevent a lot of support calls for them.
I’m interested in lectric 3.0 or portola, my concern is the rider height & reach , I ride large bike & cro moly frames & im 5,10 w/ 32 inseam , most reviews say it’s for shorter riders so I’m bit confused, also will a setback seat post make difference in reach, any advice will be appreciated, subscribed
Anyone have advice on how to store a folded Portala bike, like in a PLASTIC storage box (what size?), or on wheels somehow, it's awfully heavy and bulky to move & just seeking some advice -what others do to make it easier to transport from vehicle to garage , etc?

That is good information! I’m still waiting for UL certification, but I’m glad Ride1Up is making continual improvements.

So if I put a setback seat post at 5,10 , can it make the reach more comfortable ?
Great video! I appreciate your walkthrough of the controls.
