- Marc Scott celebrated his 28th birthday with some fast intervals with friends Phil Sesemann, Emile Cairess and David Mullarkey. Phil and Emile are preparing for Valencia 10km in a few weeks and Marc is in base period and is aiming at World Indoors in a few months time while David is also in base training.
The workout: 3km, 2km, 1600m, 1200m, 800m, 400m with 3min recovery. Paces: fast!

Interesting how elite athletes spike up during “base training” keeping that speed year round is absolutely necessary.
I spent a lot of time watching what was happening in the background - warm ups and such!
Luckily for Marc he isn't in Oregon with all the bad weather there. Saw a picture of Hayward Field coveted in snow earlier. 😁
