I would have loved to party with my man Livio back on the 90’s (especially in Italy). That was my scene and these blue and green drinks were huge! Cheers my brother!
Livio, You had me at Blue Drinks. I definitely want to try both variations of this drink. I see the interesting combination of the Cointreau and Blue Curacao, to get the dynamic flavors working and the splash of lemon to give it a light balance. And the Gin. Great Choice :)
I agree with putting Cointreau in as well. Blue Curaçao is a funny thing. I never understood how they Curaçao companies can say that it’s an orange liqueur on the label. When it taste nothing like orange. There are lots of companies that make blue Curaçao, and to me they pretty much all taste the same. I like that you went back to gin here. I don’t think you can lose when you put quality ingredients that have flavor in them. When you think about blue cocktails from the 90s, you’re going with a pretty much flavorless vodka and a pretty much flavorless Curacao. Thanks for reviving the old way!
Hey Ann! Thanks for watching. Great points on the the Blue Curaçao and the quality ingredients. The gin version is so much better. As. I am typing I recall some bartenders used to make it with equal parts gin and vodka - but just straight gin is the winner I think! Have a great weekend!
Need to try these. My club cocktail was gin and tonic as the tonic would glow under black light, so these with current delicious ingredient should be great!!!
Those cocktails not only look delicious -- but they're works of art as well. Who doesn't want to have a blue drink? It's like living in the future! And way better than drinking Windex in every way, shape, and form 😁

Cheers to you Vino. The two of us in one club would have been more than anyone can handle lol. Enjoy your trip home!

That has quite a bit of similarities to the Angelo Highball. Good times!
Nice one. I like blue cocktails too
Thanks Cocktail Tony! They are a party in the glass!
Nice to see bartenders looking back at disco drinks fondly since some people never have anything nice to say about them.
They will definitely be coming back. Now that we have better ice and better ingredients we’re gonna learn how delicious they actually can be. Cheers
