    WOW ... great overview of an ingredient that dominated the ancient world. Who knew anise came in so many forms. From your days behind the stick in Italy, which is the most iconic brand of Anisette from Italy?

      So happy you enjoyed! To be honest, there wasn’t much Italian anisette at my bar being sold when I was. Most of it was French (Marie Brizard at the time) . My opinion, is that now it’s between Varnelli and Meletti. Cheers.

    You may have addressed this, and I missed it. But is there is a difference between anisette and absinthe?

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  6 месяцев назад +2

      There is quite a difference. Absinthe is bottled at a higher alcohol content and flavored with fennel anisette is lower in alcohol, much sweeter and flavored with anis.
      Thanks for the question.
