Come, Follow Me is a resource offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is designed to be used in the home to support personal and family scripture study to build faith in Heavenly Father and His plan of salvation and in the Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Come, Follow Me is self-contained and adequate, when used properly. Products and materials designed to supplement this resource, though they may be helpful in some instances, are not necessary for a successful home study program.
When I think of Jesus cleansing the temple I think of how fiercely he will fight with us to remove anything that gets in our way to coming closer to our Father in Heaven. From my understanding these vendors blocked the entrance with their worldly goods and stopped the poor from feeling they could enter because they couldn’t buy these things and Jesus comes and show us “no that’s not right and I’m not ok with this at all” and when we have anything that gets between us and coming closer to our Father and we need his help to remove it, he’s like “yeah let’s do this! I’m ready to flip tables” and I love that.
I really like this thought that you brought up. And it brought tears to my eyes. I read it and thought about much. Christ loves us and will fight for us. Thank you…

I saw Emily at the temple yesterday. It was such a thrill to see her. I wanted to run over and hug her but knew I shouldn't. Grace, will you give her a hug for me and tell her it made my day seeing her. If I see you or David I may just run up and hug you. Be prepared!!!
This reminds me of what is happening in Heber and other places where people are fighting against the temples coming to their places. If they only understood what a blessing it is to have the Temple in their neighborhood or city.

There are some, and maybe most of us, who have made choices that have lead us to lose sight of Him and we realize we are far away from where we want to be. We repent and pray for Jesus to come cleanse our temple.

It’s Good Friday in New Zealand, still a public holiday. You came with me on my walk today. Such good company.
"Saturday is a special day its the day we get ready for Sunday." Its hard to imagine that the apostles and followers of Jesus were not observing Shabbat... Perhaps that special Shabbat was turning their hearts, more than ever, to the Lord of Shabbat. Preparing them even more for the realization of who He was, what He had been teaching them, and solidifying their testimonies?

I think the only reason people view the cleansing of the temple as "un-Christlike" is because they have a worldly definition of who Christ is. Love your neighbor, yes, but also divide the wheat from the tares. Do good to them that hate you, but also bring not peace, but a sword. Forgive 70 times 7, but also reap the wrath of a jealous God.
Jesus wasn't a hippie dippy, free-love, anything goes kind of man. He was the perfect culmination of Justice and Mercy.

However, when we try to read through Holy Week, we give Thursday two days so that we have time to include John 17

The temple cleansing: he took his time to make a whip.
The washing of the feet: one it was the duty of the lowest or servant. Also, they did not understand what he was doing and why He was doing it.

To clarify, the scriptures for Friday are the same as Palm Sunday.
Luke 23:34 • He is merciful and full of grace
Luke 23:43 • He redeems, it is never too late
Luke 23:46 • He is submissive to the Father
John 19:26-27 • He doesn't leave out details, He knows and fills our needs
John 19:28 • He still had needs, He was still part human, He was still in pain
John 19:30 • He is the author and finisher
