I had the big Cinch but sold it as it took up far too much space & I hardly used it. I’m looking at the mini Cinch now. When I saw you punch out your sections, I felt a bit anxious for you. With the big Cinch I always cut out a scrap piece of card the same size as my cover & pages to ensure I got the settings right. I loved the charm dangle idea!
Cute Little Book... I have the big Cinch and never use it even though I keep saying I need to....lol I have that same problem with hang over. I like a little around the edge but it's too difficult to figure out... Thank you for the inspiration for me to pull mine out and use it.
Yes, glad I could inspire. Haha. I figured out how to work with the overhang of the cover. I adjusted how I punched by using the ruler guide instead of the alignments guide. It’s worked so far.
Love your notebook. Glad you didn't give up. I viewed Gift Diva's project also. Seems like you both struggled at one point but the end product is great.
Yeah, that's always the issue. I always have to play around with scraps that are the same size. I usually try aligning the center of my cover on the cinch and punch. I then punch holes, accounting for the paper and how it is punched if that makes sense. So my cover will never have more holes than the paper.
The only binding wire you can use with the machine is the 0.625 inch size. ABC references your paper size. If the side of the page that you are cinching is a whole number or half inch in measurement, do your initial punch with the guide in slot A. If the side being punched has a measurement that corresponds to the numbers listed next to be, place your guide in the b slot for the initial punch. Same for C. If your book will be small, it may be easier to use the center guide for reference when pinching instead of the guide.
