*FULL REVIEW:
Engineer does an amazing job throughout the entire game, early to late. It may be very expensive but it is useful at all levels. It is stronger than accel but has a lower placement limit, making it just a little stronger, but its more useful through earlier waves due to its insane cost efficiency and no charge up. Not having hidden detection on the sentries isn't too bad since the engineer itself does plenty of damage. My rating for engineer is 8/10. 1 sentry has 100 dps engineer has 50 dps so 150 dps but it makes more sentries like 4 so that would be 450 dps for 1 engineer so i think its worth the price or maybe a bit less gems like less than accel bc it has 6th upgrade and those stats i just said are for max level (btw if u wondering how i know the dps its becasue you divide the damage by the firerate) (at max level when it has 4 turrets down its 100% better than accel plus accel has a burst which is rly annoying)

they should buff the tower beacuse it costs 4,5k gems. or just make the price in coins like 10k or 15k. they can also nerf the price in gems beacuse accel got way more dps so its more usefull

Elite you should test if you can place sentrys on the path when you put the engineer next to the path
I've done some testing by seeing how fast they kill different bosses by making the first 39 (29 for normal) rounds just have a teamate carrying then the teamate sells everything and I put all the mixed out version of each of the two towers( accelerator and engineer).
By doing this I figured out that without any support units the two are pretty evenly matched with just a 3000 health lead by accelerator.
If you added support since sentries don't get buffed by commander accelerator ended up killing the boss while engineer was alright close but when I started microing it the engineer took a bit to return to his state before as such losing any chance of evenness and in the end accelerator won by 30 thousand health which is substantial.
So in the end engineer is still good but accelerator still does more damage but if we were just comparing the towers side by side they are pretty even but in actual play because engineer sentry cant detect hidden and its not as rapid gun and because of support towers in actual play I would say accelerator is still the best tower
UPDATE: engi is better than Accel now I will go and put in the numbers tommorow but rn I don't have time
Stop the cap, 8 Accelerators can't even reach wave 40 fallen mode if its stun abused by boomers and Templar Engi is better just accept it

did anybody notice when he upgraded the engi to lvl one the damage said 3-5, but the damage never went to 5

I did the math and if you play it non stop grinding on hardcore it will take 26 hours
I disagree, don't make it so overpowered it kills major bosses in 2 seconds.
it takes roughly one hour to beat hardcore. And when you win, you get 100 gems when you win. So you need to get 45 times. so that's 45 hours with no eat, sleep, anything
A normal grind 100 gem per hour now imagine spending over 40 hours on a tower in a game

the enginner red and yellow range probably means it has lower damage in yellow and no damage on the red because i have seen some tower defense games do that for some towers
With 4 max turrets and max engineer, it should do a little over 254 dps, assuming that they are all targeting one target. This means that all 6 have a dps of 2727, a 200 more than what 8 max accelerators at max dps (according to the wiki), which is 2586.24
. Also, accelerator has targeting windup and can't hit flying enemies, but sentries get destroyed by boss stuns.
Each sentry has 101 designed so 4x6 is 24, 101x24 2,640 dps, including the decimals, and the Engineer itself has 49.25 dps, 50x6 is 300, 2,640 + 300 is 2,940, unless somewhere my math went wrong.

I won Molten with two snipers to start (new duck skin) then placed engineers and won with the 6 engineers, dj, coa and the two snipers all at max level. It was a breeze. I had grinded for gems for weeks got up to 5k in gems. I'm so glad I was able to get the new tower then play the event. Won event first try with random players.
The event was quite easy cuz i also won on my first try with randoms

Tbh, it would make it worth the 50 dollar grind if they buffed engineer. It’s just to weak compared to accelerator when chained with commander. Accelerator also has hidden detection as well on spawn.

I really like the engineer but I think it should have been an event tower, since it costs gems I'm pretty sure it's not a limited tower, which makes it too easy for some people. Plus since it's not an event tower the event will have less reason to be played. (Edit) Though the event itself does add lots of fun features and I can see why the engineer was reasoned to be a gem tower, so yea. Btw holy crap yhis is the most replys and likes I have ever got thank you.

The reason why sentries have hp is probably because they can spwan on the road if the yellow area is on the road and then the sentries tank the damage.

My personal rating for this tower would be an 8.5/10, just because of how expensive it is in the shop like you need to grind for like 2 days nonstop and for the tower itself it's not that bad but a bit expensive in upgrades also engie is pretty reliant on the sentry because that's where most of her dps comes from plus sentry just gets destroyed when any type of major boss does a stomp attack and that can greatly affect engie's dps. Engie good, but I say accel superior
Edit: Engie's turret's now have Shield(unless the tower itself is stunned), my rating for this is now 9/10
Edit again: forgot to mention that Engineer got a heavy nerf with the removal of one turret on her max level, and her ridiculous gem price hasn't changed, so I will rate Engineer a 7/10

imo engineer is almost as good as accel but engineer cost 2k more gems which is almost the 2x amount of gems accel need,and i am 67% sure accel will get nerf soon (if accel dont get nerf then engineer will be buff ) i dont think engineer price is worth that much they should change it to 3k gems

Why can accelerator solo fallen king but engineer cant? To be honest I think the accelerator is stronger because of one reason, the engineers sentries die to literally ONE STUN. The sentries are like the engineers main source of damage. This thing shouldnt be "BALANCED" ITS 4,500 GEMS LIKE ACTUALLY.

accelerator is honestly a lot better than engineer, because they die when they got stunned, and accelerators dps is 400, and they have a place limit of 8, and engineer has 6. So honestly, I think accelerator is way better than engineer.

Ok to be fair, engineer and accel are the same in terms of how good, engine dosent have charge and can place a lot of sentries, however it’s extremely expensive I. Shop and extremely expensive in game so I would say accel and engine are good
ngl engi is good on early game and kinda mid game but on late game it kinda sucks beacuse of the sentries being destroy with stuns but accel is kinda op mid/late game

And there's some sketchy lie about being level 60 to earn it. I'm already level 237 and I can't earn it. I'm stuck at a low 531 gems. Good thing I already have accel because that would be a horrifying grind.

You also have to put in that there will also be other units down such as minigunners, more crooks, etc. 6 engineers per person means roughly 24 engineers if you play with a party of 4

the sentries still get's destroyed by the fallen king and it takes a suprising amount of time to just kill the molten boss and the fallen king is two times stronger than the molten boss so you need the best rng and the best map to even getting close to win fallen .
@@fallenking3417 yes but if you are playing on a long map (like marshlands) you would have enough money to sell the engineers and place them back therefore killing the fallen king and granting the cool win (btw you'll most likely die to shadow bosses before that unless you put more money into engineers, i died to that)

while with engineer + supports u can solo molten and with accel u can do hidden wave, accel should be worth 2,5k gems while engineer like 500 or 1k or even 10k coins instead of gems
