I have only seen one couple that could rival/be equal to Morticia & Gomez. They are Nicky & Joe from 'Old Guard'. It didn't start out great but dude the love Joe feels for Nicky over the centuries.

Honestly, it's his servants who were trying so hard to set them up at first. And I get why; they wanted to be human again, but things really only started going well when Belle and the Beast were left to themselves.
Also, she certainly wasn't "locked up" considering how easy it was for her to leave the first time Beast scared her. If she'd left during the day instead of at night, she'd probably have made it all the way to the village! 😂

Beast gave Belle the free will to leave. He didn’t force her to love him. He locked her up as payment for her father’s freedom. Belle chose to love him. 😂
Eventually. He still locked her up first. If someone holds one of your friends captive, are you cool with it as long as they change their mind?

It was the staff and Beast’s choice to give her freedom within the castle while she still paid for her father’s crime. And it was the Beast’s choice to cancel the prison sentence all together. It’s not his fault she chose to go to jail in her father’s place.

Not wrong about the toxic relationship between Belle and the Beast. One thing about that story that annoyed me was the Beast's punishment. Basically, a stranger wanted to come inside the house, and the 10 to 12 year old child said no. The kid was right to do that. Stranger danger.
It’s not that everything with Nick and Charlie is perfect, but their ability to communicate with each other as the show goes on is better than many adults. They’re lovely.
In fairness to Beauty and the Beast, Adam was an 11 year old boy when he was cursed. Why should an 11 year old invite some strange woman into his home? Especially an 11 year old that seems to lack any sort of parental guidance. So we have a traumatized 11 year old living as a beast for 10 years with only his servants as companionship and they have all been cursed into household objects, slowly spiraling into depression as he knows the curse will be permanent, dooming himself and his servants, once he turns 21 unless he can find love. Then enter Maurice, trespassing in Adam's castle. Who knows why he's there? The last old person who turn up cursed everyone for 10 years. So Adam throws him in the dungeon. Adam is technically the prince of the region. It is within his rights to imprison trespassers. Belle shows up and barters for her father's freedom, offering to stay in his place. Adam agrees and Maurice goes free, but catches her wandering around the castle later that same night, potentially endangering him and his servants by messing with the rose, and kicks her out. So now Belle and Maurice are free, but then Belle is attacked by wolves and Adam has to rescue her. He is wounded and Belle goes with him back to the castle to tend to his wounds. They spend the winter together, seemingly falling for each other with no further mention of her being a prisoner. When Belle asks to leave to care for her father, Adam tells her to go and gives her a magic mirror, knowing that he has little time left before his curse is permanent and he and his servants are stuck forever in these forms. He's risking everything so that she can save her dad. Beauty and the Beast is no where near as toxic as people try to make it out to be.

I feel like a lot of people don’t actually bother to read/watch the boo/movie/show and just jump on the bandwagon after hearing a second or third-hand interpretations of the work of art in question.
I think the live action version made him older and more vain. I think he made fun of the witch or something
Beast and Belle is determined by what part of the story you are in. At the beginning very toxic but near the end it becomes healthy. You can not deny the love Belle and Adam have at the end.

It's interesting that no one mentioned Harley's former relationship with the Joker, which is probably one of, if not the, most toxic relationships in media.
I have to disagree on Beast and Belle; yes they had a rocky start but as time went on they grew to care for each other Beast rescued Belle from the wolves and Belle nursed him back to health after that and then Beast realizes that he doesn’t want to be the person he once was and works towards making Belle happy which in turn makes him happy and Belle didn’t leave his side after he was stabbed by Gaston and Beast became his true self after that which I believe is what the sorceress wanted for him. The messages I think this movie is getting across is love despite looks and finding beauty and light even in the darkest of places. Also Beasts true self he became human again.
Let’s not forget in Beauty and the Beast her father was locked up first because he got lost.
And the only way to save her dad apparently was to take his place.
At the end of the day most relationships have a mix of healthy and toxic traits. It’s acknowledging and working on the toxic to improve each other and the relationship that make couples succeed long term.

I feel like Beauty and the Beast started toxic but that had nothing to do with their romantic relationship? He was an angry beast, her father entered his castle and got captured and when she came over she took her father's spot so because of that she was his capture. But when she ran away and he saved her and she saved him back there was no toxic relationship whatsoever.

Cons in nick & Charlie is that Charlie only thinks about what's good for nick, and he always wants to be with nick that affects his grades. Charlie always says his okay even though his sick & doesn't seek help

I hate how the movie changed barbie and kens relationship. I grew up watching every single og and new barbie film. Barbie and ken are perfect for one another. Their relationship is extra Healthy and it’s clear they both care for each other. In the movies it is toxic and so it’s a pass but overall their relationship is 10/10 outside of that.
I do have to say for Belle & the Beast when they call him out for not letting a random hag in to the castle. Let's not forget he was a literal CHILD when he was cursed. So while I do not agree with the toxicity of how he treated Belle, he wasn't given a fair chance to develop healthy relationships either. The rose was cursed to bloom until his 21st year.
Moral of the story they both need A LOT of therapy.

Belle voluntarily took the place of her father, who was allegedly trespassing (after being invited in by the butlers). Beast let Belle go (after unjustly imprisioning her). Beast stopped Gaston who was trying to force a marriage onto Belle (because beast was the one being targeted in the first place, but also because he was repenting over the fact he himself tried to force his love onto Belle too).

Belle had the ability to leave whenever she wanted, she just saw something in the Beast, his empathy and love for life. And they didn’t develop as romantic interests until Beast had already started to change some of his more crass behaviors
Technically no. He didn't allow her to come and go as she pleased until her dad got sick. Before that she was stuck there because she traded her life for her father's.
Longterm relationships should be built on the solid base: self/mutual respect, trust, self/mutual development
the closest I've seen of that in a tv show was with Nailey ( Nathan/Hailey)in OTH... they both screwed up in one way or another, but they still made it work because they couldn't be without each other and they always learned from their (and other's) mistake.

God, Ezra and aria was so gross. I adore pll, two of the couples Haleb (Hannah and caleb) and spoby (Spencer and toby) are two of my favorite couples ever in media, but the other two couples were both toxic af. The fact they ended the show giving the other two an ending and not Spencer and Toby still pisses me off so so much.

Here for Harley and ivy. They have the best relationship. Despite work conflicts, they have the best communication and respect as best they can on boundaries. Respect and communication is key in relationship.

I love Harley and Ivy, but in the comics, it always ends because the moment Harley starts being an "anti-hero", they break up because Ivy straight up doesnt care about changing her goals.
Her main goal has always been "The Green" aka Earth over humanity and would exclude Harley due to their love but the moment they break up, Harley becomes "irrelevant" so to speak.
In the show, they're already showing hints of that conflict, when Harley was trying to find out who killed Nightwing, but the showrunners are choosing to use Lex being misogynistic in order for Ivy to focus her anger towards him rather than her goal of saving "The Green" at the expense of humanity and their relationship.
Ivy has also been an anti-hero in the comics. I recall at one point that she gave up her "green" goals in order to help some orphaned children. Batman even let her keep the children.

I'm not sure why I feel this way but I think Sharon has finally won my heart... I felt like she was always trying to be the center of attention before... but then I realized that this channel was putting her in the spotlight and she kind of had to deliver... Most episodes she is just normal (like this one)... So, I'm coming to the conclusion that she kind of has an on screen and off screen persona... So, sorry to Sharon for the harsh criticism I've given you before!
